Responsiveness – not sure about other clinics, but we are truly grateful for Apex’s responsiveness on text / phone regarding our urgent questions and clarifications after clinic visits. This “after-sales service” can technically be ignored but Apex really puts in the effort to effectively address our concerns promptly and comprehensively. Very grateful to have a team that supports us anxious pawparents. 🙂 🙂
Thank you very much Apex team! Pepper and her family are super grateful to you for giving us a wonderful experience under stressful circumstances.
Hi Owner, as per ur reply to Maiya, please note that no one talk about pre-sedation blood test. Ur Vet was getting me to do blood tests for her rash if it’s an internal thing or check of any other internal problem thru blood test. Also kept explaining and selling meds, shampoo for her allergy. Which alrdy explain on first visit to another vet and that vet to us and got us to buy some meds then already, which was 4days prior to this visit. So this 2nd visit was an appointment to get the nails cut only. There was no 1hr observation as per ur vet mentioned to my sister, ard 12.30pm nails cut, 1pm bill paid at counter. U can see from ur cctv I was wiping her pee and blood from the nail in the vet room and the front desk area. Isa was sloppy walking and pee just coming out. She was jus lying down at every stop that was more then 5seconds and also anxious to leave the place. And I ask the vet again(at least 3rd time)before leaving, “u sure it’s ok”, he say yes, once go out take out muzzle will be fine. I even called ur clinic around 4.40pm to ask about the drowsiness will take how long to subside as my dog was whining alot. Also if cut nails over the quick with some bleeding, will it not be painful for few days? I mean for us human already pain so surely for dog is same or worst since they also need to be on their feet mostly? No painkillers given to standby for that. She was walking with 3legs only at home, that leg had a bleeding nail til 5pm on the same day. Whole night no sleep for anyone cos of her whining in pain, we used ice pack and warm water alternating for her paws til ard 5am she knocked off and we had to go work in that no sleep, worried, tired state. The anxiety tabs also the vet forgot to dispense until I ask the front desk about the tabs then they gave.
Also when my mum call the counter staff the next day to inform about the vomit and drowsiness still there, counter staff say it’s emergency already need to bring Isa in and they will admit her for observation. But when I call and spoke to the vet he says can still wait for another day like it’s not really emergency. So there is no sync here of vet and counter staff. You make one person worried and another question everything.
I have been to ur vet before with my cat some years back, and a lady vet whose review on being good with cats was thorough and explain nicely everything properly checked finished, all went well. So I thought this is also going to be ok.
It’s normal to want to make it look less of their fault, can be small thing, but we could have lost our dog, which in my mind I only thought, he purposely do this to Isa then we need to spend more money to save her cause already the staff say emergency stage need to admit, then later pet die, all can only say sorry. Lucky did not come to that. Maybe this vet is new? Or he also has anxiety? If so, then he shld hav checklist of what to do next to avoid miss out or someone to check on his work after every pet to avoid this type of thing?
Anyway Thank you for your time and service, but surely we won’t be visiting any vet for a long time after this???
1st time visiting on 26 Nov Sunday, tried calling other vets around the area but wasn’t available for walk in. My adopted Pom had a seizure and was brought in and Dr Nathanael Chai, he was very meticulous in helping to diagnose what was wrong with our Pom. We didn’t know of any existing conditions as she was adopted just 1 day ago. After some blood samples, he suspected that she had pyrometra and it was an urgent case and had to be operated ASAP. He provided us with the 24hrs animal hospital and we chose to go to Companion Animal Surgery, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as they are able to help and source out a blood donor for her.
Kudos to Dr Nathanael and his team for reacting swiftly to her condition. My Pom is now better after surgery.
Thank you.
This was my first time to Spring Vet as I wanted a vet nearer to my home instead of going to my usual vet in Ghim Moh. My experience was pleasant so far. The vet and tech staff was friendly. The fees was affordable. I’m not saying it’s cheap but still ok I guess. I hope my experience would stay the same for any upcoming visits next time.
To Dr Rachel Tong, please don’t call yourself a senior doctor if you won’t even take my cat out of the bag and check him infront of me just bcos record showed a year ago that he was “aggressive”. Spent $400 for a blood test that showed normal and zero diagnosis was given as to why my cat was vomiting and weak. All you did was gave him a shot to stop vomiting and gastric medication. Did you even check my cat? We had to take him to the emergency vet the next day and the Dr immediately said he was severely dehydrated. The Dr even asked me if YOU checked our cat properly because if you did you would know that he was showing signs of dehydration. He got so weak so fast and he passed away 6 days later. We brought him to you because we trusted that you could help us. You brush it off like as if it’s just the normal vomiting episode our cat is having. We brought our cat to YOU FIRST. But the next day he was so weak. We wish we had not brought our cat to see you and had gone to the emergency vet straight away. Maybe that 1 day head start could have saved his life. We will never know. OUR CAT IS DEAD. Thank you for your useless consultation and diagnosis. We even had to pay extra consultation fees because you’re a “senior” vet. Bring your pet to this vet at your own risk.
Friendly receptionist. Except one of the doctor are not engaging. We bought in our pet and the consultation only lasted few seconds we weren’t able to ask much question as it feel like she’s chasing us out and worst is they still charged us for consultation money where the conversation only lasted like 5-10 seconds ….?
