Food quality has been a mainstay of the business. That’s one aspect of the joint which is laudable. However the seating environment and experience somehow sucks. One would feel like being harassed trying to have a meal at the place – from being somewhat restricted coming into the restaurant (chain barriers being placed at the entrance) to being ushered into a table for 2 when there are 4 pax; and again having to remove the chains leaving the place. It’s not as though there was a crowd within and waiting outside but the culture seems to suggest a totalitarian regime in control of the place. The old general is at the cashier’s desk eager to count the spoils of war

Big hype only. Everything we ordered tasted extraordinarily ordinary.

    1. It’s authentic toast and coffee, old school, tasty and service quite fast. We had nasi lemak, half boiled eggs and toast. We went on 31st August around 11am

    2. Service wise, I’ll you, the lady with blue bandana, it would be great if you learn more about communication skills. Garang garang with customer, to my elderly mother some more. Can talk slowly and politely I believe, manners > everything ?

In conclusion, service > food really brings my mood down. Would not repeat unfortunately ?

Been here since for the past 25 years. Good food, old school vibe, fast service, always been my fav breakfast spot. But the no entry and whatnot signage that was put up, the plastic safety rope, hazard plastic wrapping the outside walls, really put off the eating mood and the kopitiam vibe.

    1. I am impressed with the vitals “roti titab”, it’s texture so yummy with the combination with eggs and kaya. The bread came with original or Pandan flavour. They also have varieties of rice and kuih, I tried on the Nasi Kerabu Ikan and taste good. The services is fast although there have big crowd of customer. Sure will visit again. Highly recommended.

    2. A lot of food choices from nasi kerabu, nasi tumpang, nasi pulut with ikan masin, the famous “roti titab” basically its toasted bread with kaya and butter and soft boiled egg on top. So it’s a mixture of savory and sweet. They also have many types of kuih muih. Teh tarik special looks visually appetizing with the foam and overflowing look. Taste wise I think there’s comparable or even better ones outside but for the varieties and sufficient seatings for large group this restaurant is perfect.

    3. Embarking on a delightful weekend excursion to Kota Bharu with my wife and friends, we set our sights on Kopitiam Kita for a scrumptious breakfast. Arriving promptly at 7 am, we found the place already bustling with patrons. Fortunate to secure a table for all of us, we eagerly perused the extensive menu.

The kopitiam offered a diverse array of dishes, with many pre-packed options. Keen on sampling a variety, we indulged in Nasi Daging Kerutuk, Nasi Lemak, assorted desserts, the famed toasts, and refreshing iced cham. Each dish was a culinary delight, leaving us satiated and content.

While contemplating trying their renowned laksam, we were informed it was sold out—a testament to its popularity among locals, as attested by our neighboring table. Undeterred, we vowed to return early on our next visit for a taste of the coveted laksam.

Parking, conveniently available along the street near the kopitiam, posed no challenge. It’s noteworthy that Kopitiam Kita observes a weekly closure every Wednesday. Payment flexibility added to the overall convenience, allowing options ranging from cash to e-wallet or interbank transfers—an accommodating feature for those, like us, who prefer to go cashless. We left with satisfied palates and a plan to return for more culinary adventures.

    4. Popular kopitiam in KB. Famous for their roti titab (which has been patented by the owner).
Other than various types of roti served here, along the wall are the usual malaysian breakfast available to be selected (self service) ie : nasi lemak, mee goreng, some kuih.
The nasi lemak is unappetizing and poor in taste unfortunately. Sambal is sweet, rice is plain white rice instead of coconut steamed rice and no ikanbilis/kacang. Roadside RM2 packet nasi lemak is even better than this.
      Stick to the roti instead.
Parking available on the road nearby. Usually very crowded with people in the morning. Theres a row of shoplots about 100m away, more parking there.

    5. A must visit restaurant to have your breakfast in Kota Bharu. Their specialty is roti titab but also got other choices like packed nasi berlauk and kuih muih. Usually it will be crowded with people, but the service is top notch.
