  1. The food are all overpriced even though I knew teochew cuisine is meant to be expensive. The crab was so small and 2 pcs for the price of $100, salted egg squid was $50, prawn was $60 and worst of all, a plate of tofu cost us $24. The waitress however at the 2nd floor did render good service as she kept changing our plate but that don’t justify for the total amount we had paid for ($475.90) for a simple dinner. We would rather go to Jumbo restaurant or any zichar stall which serve better good quality food than them and cheaper in fact. Last but not least, I do not understand why the review here is commenting on another food (Kway chap) and the sign board is different. Anyway the address is the same. For us, it will definitely be the 1st time and the last time to dine here. We would strongly don’t recommend any patronage to the so called ‘Teochew Restaurant’

  2. Comfort food near home. Would always come for their fish soup and kueh chap. Flavourful fish soup, usually I would add bitter gourd for the crunch and vegetable source. Flavourful tender braised innards (love that skin is included). Would usually add on braised duck meat in my kway chap for additional protein. Their nai bai vegetable dish was cooked with broth (上汤) and with whole fried garlic. Flavourful, vegetable not overcook; has a crunch. Also love that they processed the garlic beforehand hence the garlic was not spicy. Attention to details.

Standards has improved, less salty and more flavourful than before, probably change of chef. Prices are reasonable. Love the convenience that they are open 24 hours.

  3. The fish porridge is good, must try. The service is nice too. Some staff’s service approach is not the polished polite style, and at times is very direct, so to some customer this may appear as rude, but it’s just their down-to-earth direct approach.

  4. My 2nd visit after a long while. It is a corner shop below HDB blocks with parking spaces in front of the shop. A cosy restaurant that serves Teochew food. The Teochew Cai Poh fried Kueh Teow is tasty, the chicken is nice, the Hey Chor Is just ok-ok. Overall, food is generally nice.

  5. Ate here for 4 years. Today noticed the duck meat so little so I asked the staff why. She replied now duck meat up price. So I asked why no cucumber. She say sold out. So I feedbacked to the uncle who I think is the owner. He tell me to tell the staff next time don’t give drum stick. I replied him, did I ask for drum stick? I ordered duck rice need to specify no give drum stick then must I also say I want cucumber also? He kept quiet n left . 生意这样做的?
