8 months agoNice place to have breakfast outside the usual busy rush of the city. Just off the road and ample parking available! Fully customizable dishes, classic traditional Yong tau fu of Malaysia. The iced coffee is amazing ?a year agoFound this hidden Yong Tau Fu restaurant in Johor. Totally customizable, dry ingredients, curry soup or just plain soup. Hand made noodles (original, spinach or pumpkin flavoured) or rice, they even have rat-tail noodles and fried beehoon – take your pick.Condiment station – all self serve. Yong Tau Fu won’t be completed without sweet sauce, which they have.
Fried items are fried nice and crispy when you order them.
They have a huge variety of Yong Tau Hu ingredients and their featured dish is their meatballs, meatcakes and meat dumplings. Made with fresh pork and water chestnuts – extra crunch.
They also serve homebrewed iced teas.
The taste is very homely and not bad. It was a wholesome and healthy lunch.
The seating area is air conditioned and really cooling. Didn’t need to queue for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended to get your Yong Tau Hu Fix!
10 months agoSame family business with the one at tun aminah早安面食，but here the mee not as salty as the one at tun aminah so I prefer here. However the coffee ice at tun aminah better and more variety at tun aminah one3 years agoI enjoy eating Yong Taofu here because I can select between fish fillings or meat fillings. Many such restaurant, if not all, are either fish fillings or meat fillings, but never both. To my knowledge, only Ho Garden restaurant has both fillings to choose from. So, if you know of another do let me know. Thanks in advance.Couple with their homemade noodles, and soup, it’s the perfect health food for me. Speaking about their homemade noodles, there are three types of noodles to choose from: Original, Spinach and pumpkin. I personally like my Yong Taofu without noodles to cut my intake of carbohydrates. Other than homemade noodles, you can choose Kuey Teow, Mihun, ‘Lou Shu Fan’ (a type of short Chinese noodles) and Mee.
Besides all that’s mentioned, the selection of condiments are also something to talk about. With some variety of sauces to choose, I could change the experience every time I am here.
We can choose to have our Yong Taofu with soup, curry, dried and/or fried. I, personally, have not tried their curry, thus will not comment on it.
I would love to come back often for my healthy meal.

6 months agotake vegetables and side dishes then ask to be cooked curry, soup or rice, noodles, and others. for a very good taste and the price is pretty good as a place to eat

2 months agoOrdered a quarter duck and roast meat, came nicely with fragrant rice. Duck has good amount of fat, same for the roast meat. Though this place is famous for its duck, the roast meat was surprisingly good as well, not too dry and the skin was crispy and has this savoury taste. I think the sauce for the duck deserves a mention too, it was slightly herbalist, not too overwhelming for certain people, and has a little sweetness that surprisingly complimented with the duck well.Before leaving, I ordered half a duck and some roast meat for dinner. Left in room temperature till dinner time, the duck tasted even better, and I was given plenty of sauce. It was a very satisfying dinner.
3 weeks agoThe best time to come round would be around 10am. No queue, immediate seats. Prompt service. Everything is just a little oily for my taste—but I suppose fat is flavor. ??♀️????The duck and the roast meats were all very good, and I enjoyed it with the noodles and the bean sprouts. I personally find this a good option for anyone who’s in the area and is looking for good comfort food. Am a repeat customer, and would recommend to anyone who’s in the area.3 weeks agoThe roasted duck here is amazing. The seasoning and the tang qui sauce is so flavourful and the skin is crispy but the meat is tender. The roasted pork is good but a little salty and very fatty. You can request for leaner portion. The char siew is so good. It is tasty and tender. The prawn dumpling is nice but the soup is a little too bland for my taste. The dry noodle has good texture and the black sauce adds to the flavour. The vegetables is cooked perfectly. Overall, I had a very enjoyable lunch here.3 months agoWe order a portion of herbal duck, roast pork, soup of the day (old cucumber soup), mince meat tofu and 2 drinks (tea of the day and honey lime). – Total 88RMThe overall portion was good and the duck was herbal and well cooked, they definitely didnt skimp on herbs there. But my favorite dish was actually the mince meat tofu which had soft egg tofu drenched in mince meat and mushroom sauce.
The roast pork was good but not fantastic and the soup of the day was pretty good.
To be honest, the service was great since the lady didn’t exactly order the duck type we wanted (ordered the more expensive duck thigh instead of the normal meat) and we felt a little ripped off but the overall good meal made up for it.
If you were to visit, the duck is a must, do check carefully what was ordered for you and give tofu a try:)
2 weeks agoI tried their duck and pork rice during a public holiday. Many people were dining in, but most were taking away the crispy ducks before heading back to SG.The duck is good, no fishy taste, but the herbs aren’t very strong. As for the pork, the skin isn’t crunchy, but the taste is decent.
Despite my somewhat negative review, I’d say the food is worth the price, especially if you’re from SG (though it might be expensive for locals). I’ll definitely come back again.
