a month agoBeen coming here for years. Always love the wide array of products that are mostly value for money! We appreciate that the staff are all really friendly too although it can get busy on weekends. Parking is free which is a huge plus. One small feedback though there was a baby cockroach my wife and I spotted at the meat section today, to the credit of the staff he swiftly cleared it away ?3 weeks agoCompletely blown with the variety of groceries here. And they are very up to trend, like when we came on 26th Dec, they have prepared for CNY with all the goodies, steamboat and cookies. Also at the 1st floor, they have mini pasar malam, with good food after good energy burned shopping :p5 months agoA one stop place to get all household items and groceries. Most major brands of items are available. Plent and convenient self checkout counters are available if you do not like to queue at the regular check out counters. Gets really busy during weekends.7 months agoGiant Hypermarket and it’s literally a giant Hypermarket. The place has about everything you would need and it’s a huge place to shop. The best thing about this place is that there’s currently lots of promotions and discounts right now so you can get lots of stuff for cheap. It’s also open 24 hours, which is amazing. There’s a small place to dine in as well called Uncle Jacks inside the Hypermarket, which is pretty cool as I’ve never seen it elsewhere. Self check out counters are great, it’s easy to use.3 months agoThis is one of the few Hypermarts in Singapore. It has a wide variety of fresh and cooked food and products. When Turkey Embassy called out on relief items for the earthquake disaster on Wed, 8 Feb, I had went down to Tampines Mall NTUC to make bulk purchase of the canned and baby food items on Thursday, 9 Feb.
At the store, MeiLan and her team of colleagues understood my needs in getting bulk purchase for the relief items, they have helped me to grasp the products that they have in store and settle the payment and packing for delivery. Delivery was arranged to one of the collection points, Genting Lane, the next day. However, situation had changed with different needs of the relief items, resulting all the purchased items were returned to store on Fri, 10 Feb.
With the dynamic situation changes, Turkey Embassy no longer required food items as stated in their initial relief list. Fortunately, another organization, Salt&Light, starts to collect medical items and baby products. With this change, I have went down to Tampines Mall NTUC store again on Sat, 11 Feb, to exchange the initial purchased products to Baby Products (formula milk, bottles, diapers) as well medication of equivalent sum of amount that previously purchased.
MeiLan was supposed to be off, and instead of not wanting to trouble her colleague to handle such bulk amount of exchange, she had took the initiative to swap her off day with her colleague despite she has something on that evening. MeiLan and HuiShan have greatly assisted me in identifying the products and then packed them into cartons, and loaded into my car. Their attitude towards work is sure to be commendable.
I am very glad that Tampines Mall NTUC team is very helpful, they are always there to provide great customer services to the customers. Thanks a lot for your assistance to make the relief donation a successful mission.
Want to buy whole salmon, don’t know how to choose. Took guess on 1st one. Staff weigh, print price label. He checked fish, noticed ‘defect’. Helped to choose 2nd fish. Next staff showed me ‘defect’ when cutting fish. Helped me choose 3rd. NTUC have very honest and dedicated staff. Giving best service though very busy. Very impressed.
This morning went to shopping , when going to the mall from the car park, one uncle is pulling the shopping trolley heading upstairs, but the trolley reversed itself and the boy from behind help the uncle grab the trolley, just heard the uncle shouting DONT TOUCH ! Fxxx your mother …. The guys just ignore that uncle just walk away, STAFF FROM NTUC! That uncle talk rudely and no manners sia …Aduhhh
Fairprice price ain’t really all fair, but it is still my go-to supermarket for all the different things you can find, from food to bathroom essentials, it is a great place to go to find certain things you need
It’s strangely crowded towards the witching hour on a weekend and I find shopping to be less busy on a Sunday evening than most other nights. Something to consider if you’re doing grocery shopping the next time.
