3 weeks agoMy husband and I have been here for years. We come here every year to celebrate special occasions and festive events. This year, we came on the Xmas eve.
The food at this place is consistently innovative and fascinating – the unexpected flavors never fail to impress.
However, on a separate note, we were quite unsettled to see waitresses rushing around in the restaurant as they struggled to keep up with the large crowd. Having said that I have no intention to blame the staffs – The waitress who served us did a really good job in explaining each cuisine and made sure we enjoyed the food.
I understand that this issue cannot be solely attributed to the staff, as it ultimately falls under the management’s responsibility to adequately staff the restaurant.
I hope Morel would keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing more innovative menu and food!
a month agoQuite surprised for the good taste . Come for set lunch, pork belly is really nice. Bean soup is good too. Sea bass taste so Malaysian but fresh ! Decent ambience. Will definitely come back again .2 months agoFirst time here. Ordered as my picture shown. The food taste was up to expectations especially the Kebab. Will definitely return. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet. Parking is easy and plenty.3 weeks agoWe loved the food but overall Crystal who was our waitress explained the food in detail. She made the food taste superb. First time meeting a professional waitress. You are great, Crystal. Thank you for making our night greata month agoFirst time trying dry aged fish and am pleasantly surprised. Every dish is scrumptious. Highly recommend to try the charcoal grilled fish, pork belly and handmade pasta. Will be back!

2 months agoWow. The ambience here very very nice. Food taste great n fresh. Dessert tiramisu also very nice, yuzu ice cream definitely the best. Very enjoy here.2 months agoVery special and yummylicious Japanese fusion Italian food ??? Price is slightly on the high side but the quality really worth it ???5 months agoI showed up without a reservation and they were able to accommodate me but warned me that it might be a longer wait because I didn’t have a reservation.Glad I agreed to wait for the food, because it was worth it! I didn’t love all the appetizers but there were more hits than misses – particularly the pickled cherry tomato and the foie gras were really good!
The texture of their home made pasta was also an eye opener for me as I’ve never had fresh pasta with so much nice bite to it. The uni sauce that came with my pasta was great too, and I’m glad I took the server’s kind advice not to finish my bread, so I could use some of it to finish every drop of sauce.
If I had to criticize, I’d say I would have wanted a bit more pasta in the main dish. And the presentation could be improved. But this place still gets a 5 star review from me because Ieft this place feeling very happy! Good meal, good service, good value.
Edit: 3 visits across a year later and I’m still so pleased with this place. They switch up their menu a little sometimes and the food is always good. Best to make reservations!
4 years agoA hidden gem in Ipoh I would said.We had a great birthday celebration over here and the service was good yet would expect them to provide more birthday desserts or services .
The spaghetti was impressive, very nice !
Appetisers wise was average.
The dessert was really good and can see their effort in preparing it .
Good environment for fine dining and small family gathering .
Worth for the price .
5 years agoThis is my third time here. Excellent food and dessert . Love the cozy ambience. The salmon and the meat are well marinated . Those who love creamy pasta , this is the place to eat. They served wine and sake as well though I didn’t order. The restaurant don’t take walk in and you have to make reservation in advance .

After some time, decided to drop by and give it a try. Was utterly disappointed. The apple crumble tasted neutral nothing special to talk about. Their sausage was overpriced as it was frozen & like those sausages you can get from hypermarkets costing less than RM5 for 3 pieces. The red wine infused risotto is nice though. When ordering, the waiter had difficulty in understanding yet didn’t bother to double confirm with us. Got our orders wrong , so we had to end taking away the extra order (all we did was just ask what’s the dish name on a picture we saw on Google maps review, we didn’t place the order) & instead of getting ready the apple crumble we ordered, he thought the apple crumble was to be taken away… Sorry to say but won’t be coming back.

Great interior design, great service and nice food presentation but food was a bit disappointing for my first visit here.
Lamb shank was gamey, chicken parmigiana was bit too salty but the appetiser was just unacceptable. Calamari fritti came in a big plate with only like 12 pieces of pathetic looking ‘cheezel’ size deep fried squid. So overpriced!
Chicken and mushroom pizza was nice with thin crust but bit stingy with the ingredient. Aglio olio was tasty. Ice lemon tea was premixed type. A slice of lemon would have looked nice on it.
Absolutely amazed to find an authentic Italian restaurant tucked away in a quiet street in Lumut Town! Cannot fault any of the dishes: we had the Ravioli, spicy salami pizza, Lasagna, Calamari, Mushroom Soup, Apple Strudel and Baked Cheesecake. All top notch! Prices are a bit steep, but expected considering the quality and authenticity. Nice place to splurge on a meal for a special occasion.
If you’re looking for a good place to wine & dine in Lumut, this place fits the bill. We ordered some light bites Gamberetti Fritti, spaghetti ai Funghi & pineapple carrot cake. Overall a delicious meal. Repeat customer.
We had a delightful dinner. The food was great. Cooked by two lovely ladies. However, the tenderloin steak was a tad salty for me. And, it was great to end our meal with the homemade tiramisu. Probably one of the best in town. Highly recommended. Would definitely be back to try the popular Hawaiian pizza. A special shout out to David for his excellent service. The cleanliness of the restaurant, especially the toilet was probably one of the cleanest in town. Good job.
