This year, we came on the Xmas eve.
The food at this place is consistently innovative and fascinating – the unexpected flavors never fail to impress.
However, on a separate note, we were quite unsettled to see waitresses rushing around in the restaurant as they struggled to keep up with the large crowd. Having said that I have no intention to blame the staffs – The waitress who served us did a really good job in explaining each cuisine and made sure we enjoyed the food.
I understand that this issue cannot be solely attributed to the staff, as it ultimately falls under the management’s responsibility to adequately staff the restaurant.
I hope Morel would keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing more innovative menu and food!
After some time, decided to drop by and give it a try. Was utterly disappointed. The apple crumble tasted neutral nothing special to talk about. Their sausage was overpriced as it was frozen & like those sausages you can get from hypermarkets costing less than RM5 for 3 pieces. The red wine infused risotto is nice though. When ordering, the waiter had difficulty in understanding yet didn’t bother to double confirm with us. Got our orders wrong , so we had to end taking away the extra order (all we did was just ask what’s the dish name on a picture we saw on Google maps review, we didn’t place the order) & instead of getting ready the apple crumble we ordered, he thought the apple crumble was to be taken away… Sorry to say but won’t be coming back.

Great interior design, great service and nice food presentation but food was a bit disappointing for my first visit here.
Lamb shank was gamey, chicken parmigiana was bit too salty but the appetiser was just unacceptable. Calamari fritti came in a big plate with only like 12 pieces of pathetic looking ‘cheezel’ size deep fried squid. So overpriced!
Chicken and mushroom pizza was nice with thin crust but bit stingy with the ingredient. Aglio olio was tasty. Ice lemon tea was premixed type. A slice of lemon would have looked nice on it.
Absolutely amazed to find an authentic Italian restaurant tucked away in a quiet street in Lumut Town! Cannot fault any of the dishes: we had the Ravioli, spicy salami pizza, Lasagna, Calamari, Mushroom Soup, Apple Strudel and Baked Cheesecake. All top notch! Prices are a bit steep, but expected considering the quality and authenticity. Nice place to splurge on a meal for a special occasion.
If you’re looking for a good place to wine & dine in Lumut, this place fits the bill. We ordered some light bites Gamberetti Fritti, spaghetti ai Funghi & pineapple carrot cake. Overall a delicious meal. Repeat customer.
We had a delightful dinner. The food was great. Cooked by two lovely ladies. However, the tenderloin steak was a tad salty for me. And, it was great to end our meal with the homemade tiramisu. Probably one of the best in town. Highly recommended. Would definitely be back to try the popular Hawaiian pizza. A special shout out to David for his excellent service. The cleanliness of the restaurant, especially the toilet was probably one of the cleanest in town. Good job.
