Ordered seafood platter, it was a mixture of fresh and not fresh seafood. Taste was okay. Probably we ordered the wrong thing this time. Usually we ordered pizza or pasta and it was very good.

Ciao! They offered an authentic Italian experience. The cozy ambiance added to the charm, while dishes like the Calzone and Salmon Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce stood out with their impressive flavors. Prices were on the higher side, but the overall experience earned Porto Romano a solid four stars from me. Bellissimo!

Comfy environment with a lot of families dining in.

Personal favourite is their baked beef lasagne which is well baked and juicy+flavourful

Least favourite is signature tiramisu which we were unable to taste the coffee and liqueur, with the cream being overwhisked

My first time and will never come here again.
1. Bad service. The waiter is not attentive. One of the waiter don’t really serve the food properly and a bit blur. I think they don’t really have proper training to the staff. ( there are not many tables , only two tables at the time)
2. We ordered a seafood soup& seafood platter however the prawn and mussel are not fresh. The mussel is kind of smelly taste. The prawn is sticky. We did a gentle feedback to the staff however an lady is kind of insulting and not a good attitude when she was talking to us. She want to argue to us that the seafood is fresh, she keep saying that she can let the chef to taste it and she has many chefs. She still standing there and talking to us when she say she can let the chef taste it, she actually can just ask the chef to taste it or she taste it without arguing and standing there keep talking. Some more she not happy and saying that “ I have been challenge” we are stunned. She represent restaurant and we are customer, how can she talk like this?
3. Usually Italian restaurants will serve their signature bread with olive oil and vinegar. However this restaurant is so special and the waiter told me that they don’t serve it. I’m curious and asked the waiter “ I have been to few Italians restaurants and all of them serve me with their nice bread” then the waiter only told me “ oh ya, we only serve upon request”. My friend and I stunned with the respond. We waited for around 5 mins, the bread is served without the vinegar and olive oils. So, we need to request the vinegar and olive oils then they only bring for us.
4. During dinner time , 7-8pm , the waiter is having dinner during their on duty time.
Why don’t they let their staff to eat before they start work ? I never seen before the waiter need to work and eat at the same time. No wonder they are not attentive.

  1. This is one of my favorite places. The decor was simple yet cozy and inviting. The waitress did an excellent job. The appetizers must be sprinkled with crack because I just craved for more and more. The signature Porchetta was fit for god himself. Had to have a shot of espresso or I would have fallen into a food coma. Ended the whole ceremony with one of the oldest beer in the world. I give them 5 stars but since I had the beer it’s now 6.9 ?

  2. Good environment and friendly staff, there are some barcode to scan for the menu, its a bit hard for w8ing to website for loading and it take us 10 min to Get the user experience, it end up we spend 15 min for first time user to order only consider I am a senior web developer, how an old uncle can order ? perhaps a menu is better than the website or maybe free wifi help … . the place is very clean and staff are professional and friendly. they welcome u with water which is good, the toilet was super clean, u can park inside just tell the security on the entrance that u are going to coffe, else u can park outside for 2 houre only.
The pork signiture was so tasty, chicken chop was good, mesh potato was so soft and tasty.
The music is light and goog place for dating.
Btw you can watch inside the kitchens when they are cooking.
    Over all recommanded !

  3. Overall, a very pleasant meal. Mushroom soup was a little bit bland but acceptable. The pork ribs were delicious and the gravy, on the sweet side. The pork knuckle was deliciously crunchy and tender. The drinks were really good. We actually ordered whole porchetta but since the pork supply wasn’t good enough, they couldn’t make it. Definitely will come back again to try the porchetta.

  4. Neighbourhood western restaurant with affordable price

“The driving force behind Cafe Rocco is Chef Hon Sing, a self-taught chef who gave up his day job to start Hungry Mario, a Kuala Lumpur based private supperclub, with his wife, Magarita Santiago. “Since I was young, I’ve watched my mother prepare traditional Hakka dishes like Yong Tau Foo,” he said. “And when I fell in love with Magarita, I started cooking as a necessity as a way to impress her – and I guess it did!” – credit : taken directly from their website

Everything that has got to go with porkylicious food would definitely get my attention. Located in Sri Bintang which to me is an outskirt area out of my comfort zone, my appetite for the better of me one day and I found myself in front of the restaurant for lunch.

◾Spicy grilled baby octopus RM16 – charred baby octopus with spicy gohchujang aoili. They managed to get the doneness right and then aoili complemented the seafood nicely. In fact, I ordered a second helping.
◾grilled chicken chop RM28 – grilled chicken thigh, roast potato, cherry tomato, carrot and mushroom with homemade gravy. Again, meat doneness is very important when it comes to chicken.. and I was pleased when I cut through the crispy skin to reveal the juicy and moist meat. It would make any classic western meal lover proud.
◾Yin & Yang RM38 – crispy kurobuta pork belly & soft tenderloin medley with ginger mustard sauce, roast potato, cherry tomato, carrot and mushroom.
◾Pork Bolognese pasta RM28 – generous amount of pork Bolognese sauce on top of regular spaghetti, crunchy pork lard (yep.. you read it right!), Parmesan and extra cirgin olive oil
◾Aglio Olio Bacon RM28 – spaghetti with crispy homemade guanciale slice, crispy bacon, slow roasted cherry tomato and extra cirgin olive oil
◾Coffee Pork Ribs – I was looking forward to this dish because the description sounded interesting. Presentation was good – however, it had this powdery texture & bitter aftertaste. I guessed that they were too heavy with the coffee powder and I conveyed to the chef directly. It’s a creative dish but execution-wise, there’s still room for improvement.

Actually this was my second time coming here… Due to the fact that I like their food. I sincerely hope that they can get everything right in the near future.
