This is currently one of my fav Korean eating places in Ipoh. Yummy food and very akin to proper Korean-made food. The door is locked and can only be opened by remote control by the lady boss so you do need to knock and be patient. She also gives good recommendations for food. Also try the gimbap if you can fit it in ?

First time visiting this restaurant and the foods were delicious! Their tofu stew was the best I’ve tasted so far in iPoh. Definitely need to order their pancake and stir fry pork as well.

Food is okay, but services could have been done with more cheer and welcoming smiles. Side dishes were small in portions and could only be refilled once. The prices charged and the services given are not compatible. Food industry is so competitive and there are so many good eating places in Ipoh. If we do not feel welcomed, we have other options to eat elsewhere.

Sis and I have been trying to find decent bibim naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) since returning to Ipoh, and this place is the BOMB; not just for its cold noodles but other dishes too (e.g. bibimbap and kimbab)!

I’ve had some pretty authentic Korean cuisine when I was living in a Korean-heavy suburb back in the States and the food here is exactly, if not close to what I had there.

    1. When I saw there were many Koreans eating there, I know the foods would be good. I was right!
We ordered their pork cuts and they were tender and marinated well. We also ordered kimchi fried rice and it was very good. Definitely need to order it when you are here.

In terms of side dishes, they had more than 8 varities. As usual, you could ask for refill.

The staff were attentive and they cooked the meats for us to make sure they were not burnt.

The restaurant had two sections where you could sit on a chair or on a pillow, on a floor, like Japanese tatami style.

Overall, we had a good experience at this place.

    2. The raise floor seating section area were bright and clean. The small plate side dishes combination were not appealing. I realised that after finished eating for a while, I felt very thirsty. Could have been caused by eating up all the bean paste that was served in the small saucer. As I am sensitive to food that were prepared with MSG, they would make me very thirsty. Not sure that these food were prepared with MSG? Nevertheless, The overall food were good, tasty and delicious ? .

    3. Not very good experience in this outlet. Staff service was not friendly. Ordered a plate of Bossam, (pork belly with oyster kimchi)… and not a single biji of oyster inside. ? .. tried to ask the staff about this, and their reply was no oyster in this dish…. so why it is written in the menu ? Maybe should write “oyster sauce only”? ?

    4. The meat was delicious and the kimchi hot pot was very spicy. It was good because there were many side dishes and it was comfortable to grill meat.

    5. Most of the dishes weren’t as good as in the past anymore, the room was abit run-down, the ceiling were likely going to fall apart. We’re all sweating since we arrived. Service is good.
Probably need a renovation as it’s been quite a long time since it opened.
