6 months agoPretty good Korean food, in fact among the best in Penang island. Owned and operated by Korean uncle so he is friendly and can speak EnglishI heard the branch at Tanjung Tokong is nicer maybe coz they got better chef
Will want to try the other branch one day
10 months agoCame here for the grilled food and it was fantastic. We had the package for 3 with some extras added. They helped you cook it at the table with the built in grill and this made the meal more enjoyable. All the food was fresh and delicious. The staff are so friendly and it is a great place to go. The prices are reasonable and the food portions are big.a year agoHoused within a bungalow with ample parking spots, this place serves korean cuisine. Service was fast, food was quite good and ambience was nice and quiet (perhaps cos we went early). Pricing was reasonable for the generous portions served. Side dishes were free and refillable, so overall it was a pleasant dining experience for us.6 months agoMy go to Korean restaurant in Penang. My daughter loves the ramyeon. The kimchi fried rice is nice. The dakgalbi is nice but make sure u have more than 2 people ordering as it is a lot.7 months agoThe Korean steamed egg cooks till burn & texture so hard. Side dishes served seemed no longer fresh. Overall, I’m quite disappointed with the food quality drop much since my last visit was around 5 years ago. Remember last time the foods were really good & taste authentic. Dear Kim’s Korean food restaurant boss, is time to seriously evaluate the quality of the foods served at your restaurant.

10 months agoAdd points on the number of staff and the serving speed. Though some of them cant understand english well and tend to ignore your request. Overall the foods are ok, but the price is on the high side. I like the hotpot, the waiter will help you to cook them or if you order grill, they will help you to grill them as well. The Jeyuk Bokkeum (stire fried pork in chili paste) is really nice, top recommended.Personally I don’t think i would go back to try again unless there is some gatherings or sort.
a year agoComfortable place and good food. The manager is very nice person. For me, almost everything taste good especially JapChae, bimbimbap and grill pork. But for the pancake taste average fine only. As for the side dishes, kimchi is still the best.8 months agoBbq was nice , bulbogi meat and rice balls were nice too. good service ? . Just that the ventilation not very good as it’s closed aircond area . 20th anniversary got promo of rm9/bowl of Korean ramen9 months agoSumptuous food with huge servings. Service was excellent especially Mr Dhanu Rana and Mr Khabak BC from Nepal. Highly recommended especially if you’re hungry!a year agoCame here with a group of friends on a Sunday evening, we got a seat immediately at 6.30pm without reservations. I find the servers to be rather attentive (unlike what other reviews mention) throughout our 2hours dining here.First off kudos to the refillable side dishes! Good variety and taste. We ordered I think Set A that says it is for 3-4 people but even for 5 adults it is a good enough portion.
The servers grill and cut the meats for us. All the meats (mostly pork) are marinated very well. The set also comes with a vegetable pancake (it is pretty unique) that reminds me of the ku chai inside chai kueh. It alao comes with kimchi stew that is flavourful and tasty (contains noodles, rice cakes, tofu, pork, a lot of kimchi, enoki mushrooms).
Would recommend for an occasional splurge as price is on the higher side (more than RM50 per person including all charges) so might not be what you’re looking for if you like value for money.

Their meal for 3-4 pax is really big. Feel like it’s enough for 4-5 pax. Really worth the price. Food here are delicious too. Meats are all really fresh!! Service is great. The place smells awesome too with the BBQ smell.
Consider this one of the good Korean restaurants in Penang island. The bbq is ‘charcoal’ style. The pork set A or B is nice for a family of 4.
The servant will do the bbq work for you, so you don’t have to worry about any ‘burnt’ meat :-). All the meat is well done by the servant.
The service is good and there are many varieties of Korean food to choose from.
Jalan tanjung tokkng, Penang, Malaysia. Kne of the best Korean food I have ever had with serious owner and they are generous enough on your request to add on dishes without any charges.
Still loved their korean foods, and they served with korean tea.
Always the best place to have the authentic Korean foods in Penang. Tha
