2 months agoThe location is very convenient, the environment is also nice, and the staff are all very friendly. Especially the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. She patiently helped me with the check in procedures and greeted me and my mum everyday with big smile during my stay ?.we chat like friends.I definitely recommend this hotel and appreciate the staffs of their great services.3 months agoY’all know why you booked this hotel – the price point. Can’t beat that in Singapore. But the location is great too. I liked the design and lighting in the room – quite funky. Receptionist was friendly.However, be prepared for the downsides – the (refundable) deposit amount is greater than the room rent. Nowhere in the world I have seen this, after traveling to 21+ countries.
Secondly, noise isolation is very poor. Your morning sleep will likely be disturbed by large families and kids running around in the common areas.
2 months agoUsually when I stay at a budget friendly hotel it leaves more to be desired, but with The Arena such is not the case. Housekeeping did great with tidying up the place, yet not reorganizing my entire room. Centrally located so even a trip to American Embassy was only a few miles down the road. Lots of what was listed above is why I ended up extending my stay here.a month agoI came to this hotel planing to stay overnight gaming.but guess what none of the PC are working. our room aircon was also leaking. the receptionist had a bad attitude. we asked for a compensation because the all the PC were not working but NOPE no compensation NOTHING! very bad experience. Will not come again. In the first place it’s a eSports Hotel, you should at least put it on Google or something that the PC are not working, or open when the PC works! Not coming again!2 months agoAs I was checking the images I thought the hotel was great and booked the place.Rooms are really small. The quality is fine. You get shared bathrooms and it wasn’t very clean.
Worst thing about the hotel is the receptionist. She’s really rude and mean. She just treats the guests with no absolutely respect. You can’t get any help or any advice by this lady. Not friendly at all!!! You need to learn to treat guests way better than that. If there’s a manager please look in to this. Terrible service! Ridiculous!!!
Not recommended to anyone.

3 months agoLet me start by saying if you’re looking for a room that has basically what you need for a room these rooms will suffice as long as you’re not expecting anything above or slightly below average. With that said here is the list of the not so good parts we experienced. – The rooftop bar across the street is loud and constant for about 6-7 hours between the hours of 5pm-minight. We needed earplugs to sleep. – The brown line MRT runs right below the hotel so every 10 min you hear the hotel rumble a little as it passes underneath you. Not as bad and annoying as the bar across the street. – They only provide you with one key card for the room, and the room’s electricity only works with the key card inserted in the room receptacle next to the door to enable all the lights and outlets. This also includes the A/C. So when you leave for a few hours you come back to a HOT room, which leads me to the windows. – The windows are old single pane, wooden frame windows that leak around & air terribly. – This may not be an issue to some, but the bathroom shower is not separated from the toilet and sink, so when you have a shower no one else can use the bathroom at all. Then when you’re done with your shower everything in the bathroom is wet, including the toilet, sink, and the entire floor. – The towels that we were provided smelled bad when they got wet. – The pillows were not that great either. One was lumpy and flat, and the other was better, but flattened over extended periods of use. – We had a broken power outlet – Two of the three horizontal shelves in the room weren’t level so if you weren’t careful what you say on them, things would slide right off.Now for the good things! – The hotel location is awesome and is surrounded by Chinatown with all of its fun and delicious activities. – Room size was acceptable in our case for room 308. – The bed was comfortable to sleep on. – Window curtains blocked out most of the light for sleeping. – The room looked pretty clean. – The staff were very nice. – Our room had a nice balcony view of the surrounding streets and shops. I have read that there are quite a few rooms here that are much smaller with no windows.
4 months agoThe staff were great and super helpful! The room was small but comfortable, with cold air conditioning, hot and cold shower, comfy bed, hair dryer, new bottled water everyday. I really appreciate everything they’ve (the staff) done in terms of being as helpful and accomodating as possible. Stayed here for the Grand Prix and it’s very accessible by train5 months agoGreat value hotel. You get what you paid for. I think the best thing about this hotel is the location because you can easily walk to 3 MRT stations nearby namely Outram Park, Chinatown or Maxwell. I got the single bed room, quite small but there is an attached bathroom. Not a problem since I’m out exploring the city most of the time and only coming back to sleep. Shower pressure is great and there is hot shower available. Wifi is a little bit slow though. Oh! and there are a lot of bars nearby so the nightlife is not bad.5 months agoBad customer service, check in time was 3pm but when we arrived at 4pm, we were told our room was not ready due to aircond problem and needed to wait additional 2 hours. The staff told us in a rude manner and didn’t even offer compensation for the delayed check in, only instructing us to leave our bags and go for a tour first and come back after 2 hours. When asked if we can get any other room first just to freshen ourselves up before going out again they claimed that all rooms are full and replied rudely to us that we can use their lobby restroom to change and clean up. We just travelled since morning to their hotel and was tired but they didn’t even offer a drink for us while waiting, just instruct us to go out first (since their lobby is small I guess so they don’t allow waiting at the lobby itself?)They collected deposit from us first and then only informed us about the delay to check into our room, making us have no choice but to proceed staying there. Very bad customer service and not worth the money paid. The only upside is the location is nearby to MRT and bus stations, that’s it.

I had a pleasant stay in this hotel! Even tho the location is quite far from the main city but it’s walking distance from the MRT and there is also a shopping mall nearby.
Check-in process went smoothly all thanks to Mr. River. He was so friendly and helpful! Definitely will come back here for my next stay, Good Job guys!
The room is spacious and clean. There is a huge swimming pool which is a plus point. Great location. Really enjoy our stay here.

Location is great. Near lots of amenities. Abby of Cafe Football was very nice and attentive. I also have to commend the housekeeper in level 4 (I forgot to ask his name). He was very efficient and hardworking. Our room was always pristine clean!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I was very satisfied with the room and the service. After checking out, Rung helped me get a taxi. Very friendly and kind staff. I recommend this hotel for anyone visiting NTU since it is a close drive .
