Let me start by saying if you’re looking for a room that has basically what you need for a room these rooms will suffice as long as you’re not expecting anything above or slightly below average. With that said here is the list of the not so good parts we experienced.
– The rooftop bar across the street is loud and constant for about 6-7 hours between the hours of 5pm-minight. We needed earplugs to sleep.
– The brown line MRT runs right below the hotel so every 10 min you hear the hotel rumble a little as it passes underneath you. Not as bad and annoying as the bar across the street.
– They only provide you with one key card for the room, and the room’s electricity only works with the key card inserted in the room receptacle next to the door to enable all the lights and outlets. This also includes the A/C. So when you leave for a few hours you come back to a HOT room, which leads me to the windows.
– The windows are old single pane, wooden frame windows that leak around & air terribly.
– This may not be an issue to some, but the bathroom shower is not separated from the toilet and sink, so when you have a shower no one else can use the bathroom at all. Then when you’re done with your shower everything in the bathroom is wet, including the toilet, sink, and the entire floor.
– The towels that we were provided smelled bad when they got wet.
– The pillows were not that great either. One was lumpy and flat, and the other was better, but flattened over extended periods of use.
– We had a broken power outlet
– Two of the three horizontal shelves in the room weren’t level so if you weren’t careful what you say on them, things would slide right off.

Y’all know why you booked this hotel – the price point. Can’t beat that in Singapore. But the location is great too. I liked the design and lighting in the room – quite funky. Receptionist was friendly.
However, be prepared for the downsides – the (refundable) deposit amount is greater than the room rent. Nowhere in the world I have seen this, after traveling to 21+ countries.
Secondly, noise isolation is very poor. Your morning sleep will likely be disturbed by large families and kids running around in the common areas.
Usually when I stay at a budget friendly hotel it leaves more to be desired, but with The Arena such is not the case. Housekeeping did great with tidying up the place, yet not reorganizing my entire room. Centrally located so even a trip to American Embassy was only a few miles down the road. Lots of what was listed above is why I ended up extending my stay here.
As I was checking the images I thought the hotel was great and booked the place.
Rooms are really small. The quality is fine. You get shared bathrooms and it wasn’t very clean.
Worst thing about the hotel is the receptionist. She’s really rude and mean. She just treats the guests with no absolutely respect. You can’t get any help or any advice by this lady. Not friendly at all!!! You need to learn to treat guests way better than that. If there’s a manager please look in to this. Terrible service! Ridiculous!!!

The location is very convenient, the environment is also nice, and the staff are all very friendly. Especially the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. She patiently helped me with the check in procedures and greeted me and my mum everyday with big smile during my stay ?.we chat like friends.I definitely recommend this hotel and appreciate the staffs of their great services.
I came to this hotel planing to stay overnight gaming.but guess what none of the PC are working. our room aircon was also leaking. the receptionist had a bad attitude. we asked for a compensation because the all the PC were not working but NOPE no compensation NOTHING! very bad experience. Will not come again. In the first place it’s a eSports Hotel, you should at least put it on Google or something that the PC are not working, or open when the PC works! Not coming again!
