Located on a quiet part of KT. Walking distance to Chinatown and Paya Bunga Square (5 minutes walk) and plenty of restaurants around.
Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. My only concern was the room I stayed in had no windows. Otherwise, i had a pleasant stay.

Disappointing Experience: Unfriendly Atmosphere and Lack of Customer Service. Very Lack of customer service availability, especially during the late hours. On the night of my stay, I needed assistance around 11.00 pm, and there was no one to be found. Waiting for help and I feeling ignored, is not the experience I expected. It’s basic for a hotel to have staff available for assistance, especially during the night when guests might face unexpected issues.

There no lift available hence dificult for elder and heavy bag4 months agoI booked a room with a window, but i got a windowless room. The aircon is okay. They said the room is located on the first floor, however the first floor is actually the second floor.7 months agoLocation is very strategic and walkable and we were so touched by the services. Our bus scheduled at night and we checked out at 12 but still they assured us to keep our bags so we still can continue our fun trip till night. ? Thankyou so much tau.

The comments are intended for hotel’s improvement.
(stay for 4 days 3 nights for 2 adults. Deluxe Queen Room with breakfast.):
1. Recommended to provide 2 cards ( max ) per room.
2. Nights of mosquitoes. Hotel management MUST check any mosquito breeding grounds.
3. ‘Cop parking’ attitude from one of your customers. Hotel management need to add this to their policy as a deterrent to customer as not to showcase such disgusting behavior as it will tarnish your hotel reputation by having such customer.
4.Fridge. Recommended to have one per room.
5. Service not to the standard. Example: waited for 15 minutes for extra soaps and was informed by the hotel assistant, wrong room number was given and I was informed that after 5pm ( or 4pm) number of hotel personnel including receptionist is 3, hence the delay.
Hotel Seri Malaysia is one of the old players in service and hospitality in Malaysia and it will be better for the hotel management to consider the above points for future improvement.
Very old hotel , not very well maintained. Luckily the bed, pillow and air-conditioning is great condition. Bed and pillow very comfortable and clean. But good view , and sea view. Good location walking distance to tourist spot turtle alley, night market, restaurants, China town.
Stayed 1 night in June due to the location – near Chinatown (sad that Chinatown seems like a dead town!). The staffs very friendly and check in fuss free. Old hotel but room was clean, although the bathroom really need some upgrade. Plenty of parking but can be full during peak period.
Overall a good place to rest, for the price.
We enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely come again. Actually, this is the third time we stayed here. Keep it up HSMKT!
