a month agoHave been with her for so many years. From my stylist to friend! She is amazing very innovative using her bomb shelter as her salon, but u really don’t feel claustrophobic as we are always chatting and catching up haha.. to me most importantly is the stylist skills and experience, i really do not mind the environment as i find so long it is conducive ! Home business owners is so great to sacrifice their own privacy space and offering prices cheaper than salons i hope everyone will be kind to them as it is not easy ?a month agoIt’s my first time at this home based hair salon and I’m pleasantly surprised. Wewe is very professional and the set up looks like I’m in an actual hair salon. 2 years agoBooked an appointment and brought my mum here a month ago, on a Friday afternoon. Upon reaching, there was already a lady inside colouring her hair. Then another lady went in and said she has an appointment at 130pm. I went in and told Phillip I had an appointment at 130pm too. He was quite annoyed and questioned me where did I book. It was that moment that he realised he had a double/triple booking. Around 130pm he called my mum in and didn’t make any hairstyle recommendation, and just went ahead to cut the style that she requested. She asked him for his opinion if it was suitable as her hair has natural curls, and he simply remarked that “cannot also must can”. That moment I thought he must be really skilful. My mum went in with slightly longer than shoulder-length hair requesting for a layered bob. We were out within 30mins max (waiting+wash+cut+blow). All along it was a one-man show. With the attitude and skills, it was a really bad experience. Posting what a typical layered bob looks like and what was the end-result. Last picture was a haircut at another salon charging way cheaper with better skills. Would have liked to be a regular customer here but sadly we will not be back again.12 months agoHighly recommended. Was so desperate to have a haircut but most of the place was fully booked. My daughter recommended me to Arches Hairspa. At 1st was so scare to try other instead stick to my 10 years salon which my hair was very fine and flat, not many hairdresser can managed it. Despite they were fully booked but managed to squeeze me in, was served by Philip. He was so nice and friendly. His skill was professional and just a brief request. He can get what I want and have a nice cut for me. I love my haircut and would come again. Thumbs up!2 years agoI didn’t dare to have my hair cut short for years because of past bad experience…it is so hard to find a good stylist who is skilled enough to cut my short hair…even those branded salons were not able to handle my stubborn natural curled hair… Read the reviews and saw their posts, picked up my courage and made an appointment. I am so amazed by their hairstylist, Arthur. He is so friendly and skillful. If you want to try them out, do make appointment beforehand as they only have 2-3 hairstylists. When I was there, Arthur was working alone in the salon. All other customers came in with appointments. A hidden gem. I will definitely be back again.2 years agoMy 1st visit place to this salon and I’m amazed by the hairwork from Philip. He is patience and friendly person whom is also very experienced and knowledgeable hairstylist. He gave true and practical advise on what I can do on my messy hair issue. He is unlikely to some businessman whom only concerned on making every single dollars. I’m happy to have found this gem in Punggol and will definitely be back for all my future hair service.4 years agoWas looking for a salon that can do good haircuts in Punggol and found Arches. Philip didn’t disappoint and gave me a great bob cut. Really happy with the short hairstyle as it was easy to maintain and managed to make my original long thin hair not look flat. Haha that was a reason another salon refused to cut my hair short as it would be too flat. Glad to find Philip and get a hairstyle I want and best of all, it made me look good and younger. Thanks Philip!

Thank you Rohini’s for the wonderful hairdo you did for me. I am so happy with my hairdo. It was very elegant and the accessories went very well with my saree and gave me a beautiful look. Thank you once again for making my event a memorable one.
Seriously the worst experience. Go at your own risk. I went for hair cut, wash and blow. Owner is ridiculous. She washed and cut my hair. After which, she barely blow dried my hair for 5 minutes. After me, 3 other customers stepped in and she was alone. Hence, instead of asking me to wait, she told me to leave. My hair was still wet. I then told her that I can’t pay the full amount as my hair isn’t fully dry. She told me to wait till the 3 customers left and she will dry my hair fully. She even told me that it’s not good to use the hair dryer and it’s better to let the hair dry naturally. So why on earth is she providing this service if she can’t help to blow dry? She’s so unprofessional. Wasted my time here. And lastly, she doesn’t have a proper chair in the salon. The chair she had provided me to sit, was shaky. I witnessed one of her customers sit and almost fell. Poor and awful service. Never returning back.

Decided to make my first visit to this beauty parlour that I came across online.
Called in at about 2.30pm to book an urgent appointment. Told her I was available only at 730pm (aware of their closing time) and she enquired what services I would need, and I mentioned full leg waxing and underarm waxing. She agreed and asked me to come.
Arrived there at 720 and took awhile to find the shop (which is located in a wet market), reached at 730pm. Entered the shop and was greeted to an empty room. The lady greeted me from the other side of a division, and I mentioned that I was there for my appointment. She asked for what service, I answered and she went “no no no no, it is too late.. we are closing already, please come back another time”. I explained to her that I called to make an appointment in the afternoon and that I was told to come. And while still on the other side, with no courtesy to come out to speak, she said “nono I can’t, it’s too late”. I didn’t want to stand there and speak to a wall any longer so I left.
Absolutely disappointed with my first experience. May never go back.
