This is a well stocked grocery. They have fresh vegetables, meat, fish and dry food. Some items here are reasonable in price, while others are similar to nearby supermarkets. They have a free membership app to collect points that can be redeemed for cash vouchers. As the floor was being washed when we came, it was somewhat slippery.

Display price with system price is not tally at all. This happened few times already and the answer by staff is same “baru hari ni naik harga” for real? Assigned someone to double check the price with system. Example below photo, display RM 17.50, but at counter RM 23.xx Do something please. Jangan tipu customer macam ni.

  1. Premium grocers have picked up in popularity over the past few years in Malaysia, offering a bigger and wider variety of imported goods alongside the local produce that attract a more affluent middle class who is willing to shell out just a little more for something perceived to be of better quality.

Village Grocer has earned the reputation of being slightly more upmarket than Jaya Grocer, but slightly below Ben’s in the Klang Valley – but this is based solely on price comparison. One has to take into consideration the quality of produce on offer as well before making assumptions like these.

As far as variety and freshness is concerned, Village Grocer tends to beat out both Jaya and Ben’s. And this neighbourhood store in Citta Mall is no different.

One can easily pick up vegetables, sundries, groceries, toiletries and such, here – but be forewarned when checking out – NO PLASTIC BAGS are supplied. So either bring your own bags, or you can purchase one of theirs for RM3.00.

  2. Village Grocer in Citta Mall has an extensive range of premium groceries for sale. There are organic vegetables and fruits, imported food items from Australia and Japan, organic food, gluten free food, a non-halal section, bakery, bento and sushi section and even a Book Xcess bookstore. The food items are fresh although the prices are higher given their premium grocer status. Check out was efficient and there is free membership to collect points.

  3. Village Grocer is popular at citta mall and they offer various choice of food products from overseas. Many fresh organic foods to get if you want to do home cooking. Very clean and organised store. Although it’s here for few years, it’s still look like a new store. The counter lady (forgot to check her name) staff Village Grocer is friendly and helpful. Patiencely guide me to redeem the bites redemption points. End up saving Rm25 ringgit because of 2500 bites point.

  4. This is scam to me, cheap sales without stock to attract customer for other items. If sold out, please remove this, if u unable to remove this, please announce in social media or ensure the stock is arrive before your operation hours
