I was so glad that I met Nurul 13 hrs before my visa appointment. She is really helpful, friendly, and passionate at her job. She also patiently helped me with the travel insurance. Not long after I sat there, there were 2 other people lining up behind me and she kept calm and did not rush me to settle everything. Bravo Dwidaya Tour!

Employees are very friendly and polite, can explain very well whatever I asked about, e.g. JR pass, JR Hokuriku pass, etc. Location in Mid Plaza building (near by MRT stop), from the lobby take the stairs at the left to B1 (basement level), then go to the left, straight ahead then you will find HIS at the right side. Some employees can speak Japanese fluently. Perfect service.

The Biggest Travel Agent in Indonesia

While travel agents were once the go-to for planning trips and booking flights and accommodations, the rise of online platforms and booking websites has given travelers more options to plan their own trips. Here are three popular alternatives to travel agents in Jakarta:

  • Online travel agencies (OTAs): These platforms, such as Booking.com and Expedia, offer a wide range of options for booking flights, accommodations, and even holiday packages. They often have competitive prices and allow users to filter their search results based on their preferences and budgets. Additionally, many OTAs have customer reviews and ratings, helping travelers make informed decisions.

  • Travel planning websites: Websites like TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet provide travelers with resources and information to plan their own trips. These websites offer destination guides, travel tips, and recommendations for attractions, restaurants, and accommodations. Users can also read reviews from fellow travelers for specific destinations or activities, helping them make decisions based on authentic experiences.

  • Airline and hotel websites: Many airlines and hotel chains have their own websites where travelers can directly book flights and accommodations. These websites often offer exclusive deals, loyalty programs, and the ability to customize travel itineraries. Booking directly through these websites may also provide a better understanding of the terms and conditions, as well as any additional fees or benefits.

While travel agents can still be helpful for complex or specialized itineraries, these alternatives provide travelers with more independence and control over their trips. Whether it’s comparing prices on an OTA, researching recommendations on a travel planning website, or booking directly through an airline or hotel website, Jakarta residents have plenty of options to plan their dream vacation without the help of a traditional travel agent.
