a month agoA great place to have delicious foods and cakes any time of the day. The service was excellent and quick, staffs were really friendly and attentive. Theres several cakes on display and each slice is really huge making it perfect for sharing.Heres what we recommend: SOFT SHELL CRAB CURRY PASTA. My favorite dish in beanery! A really unique fusion. Curry was not overpowering, right amount of spiciness that cuts through the creaminess perfectly. Served with penne pasta and a whole soft shell crab. Soft shell crab was fried perfectly and surprisingly not oily at all.
SALMON LEMON GARLIC PASTA. A December festive special menu. The taste was pretty good, garlic was not overpowering and sourness was perfect making the whole dish very refreshing. However, the salmon was dry and overcooked. Overall, still enjoyed the dish.
WAFFLE FRIES AND WASABI MAYO. Wasabi mayo was good! It had a nice kick and went really well with the fries.
POUTINE. Waffle fries topped with cheese and gravy. However, there was very little gravy so the flavour was basically fries and cheese.
COOKIE DOUGH CAKE. It’s a chocolate cake base with cookie dough in between the layers, filled with tonnes of chocolate chips. The chocolate cake was moist and decadent. The cookie dough layer was buttery yet light and not too sweet.
BANOFEE CAKE. A very unique bonofee cake. The cookie crust bottom was buttery, with a layer of caramel goodness. The middle parts were whole bananas standing like pillars and above it, another layer of caramel and cream. It was very delicious!
HOT CHOCOLATE. Thick, milky and good quality chocolate was used. You can really taste the difference.
However, I didn’t enjoy the avocado shake much as it was majority milk and a bit bitter due to the avocado being a little unripe.
Nonetheless, a wonderful place to relax and talk to friends while enjoying your meal and cakes at any time of the day. I have yet to try other foods on the menu and will update the review again.
