The Biggest ATM in Vietnam

In addition to traditional ATMs, there are several other popular alternatives that are widely used in Ho Chi Minh City. These alternatives offer convenient and efficient ways for people to access their funds while avoiding long queues. Here are the top 3 ATM alternatives:

  • Banking Apps:

Most major banks in Ho Chi Minh City have developed their own banking apps. These apps allow customers to perform a wide range of banking transactions, including withdrawing cash, transferring money, checking account balances, and paying bills. The apps also offer features like biometric authentication, real-time notifications, and QR code scanning to enhance security and user experience. With banking apps, users can easily access their funds anytime and anywhere with just a few taps on their smartphones.

  • E-wallets:

E-wallets have gained significant popularity in recent years in Ho Chi Minh City. These digital wallets allow users to store their money digitally and make various transactions through their smartphones. E-wallets can be topped up by linking them to a bank account or by using cash at designated top-up locations. Users can then use the e-wallet to withdraw cash, pay for goods and services, transfer money to other users, and even make online purchases. Some popular e-wallets in Ho Chi Minh City include MoMo, ZaloPay, and ViettelPay.

  • Cardless ATM Withdrawals:

Cardless ATM withdrawals are another convenient alternative to traditional ATMs. This option allows users to withdraw cash without using their physical ATM cards. Instead, users can initiate the withdrawal process through their banking apps or e-wallets. They will receive a one-time pin or QR code, which they can then use at cardless ATM machines to withdraw cash. This method eliminates the need to carry around an ATM card and provides an added layer of security by reducing the risk of card skimming or theft.

These alternatives offer individuals in Ho Chi Minh City more flexibility and convenience when it comes to accessing their funds. Whether it’s through banking apps, e-wallets, or cardless ATM withdrawals, people can now enjoy quicker and easier ways to handle their financial transactions.
