The friendly seller cooked food for us to taste immediately, assuring us of the quality of her food. What a wonderful gesture! ?

This market has everything you would need for day to day life, from fresh produce to clothes and shoes to beauty products and jewelry. It’s much more spacious and comfortable compared to Old Market, and there is no touting. Everyone is very friendly and ok to communicate through google translate. As tourists we bought some dry goods like pepper and rice. For souvenir goods in gift packaging Old Market is more appropriate!

Phase Leu Thom Tmey is a fantastic local market where you can find literally anything you are looking for from food, gold, clothing, and even getting your hair & nails done.

This is a very local market. The prices are very affordable. The market itself is quite large. You will not find all the touristy things that you see in the markets along Pub Street.

Further in back you will find a wet market. Lots of produce.

This makes for a wonderful few hours to just meander through local life.

Parking will cost about 100 reils. They will mark your bike seat with chalk so you can easily find it again.

We had lunch at one of the stalls and it was some of the best beef and noodles we have had in Siem Reap.

We highly recommend and will return again in a few days to stock up on necessities.

This is one of the largest markets here in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It’s right on the main street of international high way 6, coming from Phnom Penh. Here as in most markets like this in Cambodia, you can find everything from detergents, housewares, foods such as fresh veggies and fresh fish. One must be very particular with where one buys the chicken, and beef as it’s just laid out there in many of the stalls, where the flies land and swarm. For the locals, this does not pose much of a problem. It’s is also a good place to buy the latest fashionable wear. One can spend many days here just shopping or if you prefer looking and watching people.

Very interesting old market structure that hosts thousands of shops, from clothing, veggies, fruits, artifacts, hairdressers and beauty corners, home deco. Smells can be strong at times. All prices are subject to negotiations. Accept only cash.

Now, this a fun place to shop. All the vendors have the same thing but definitely get to know one or two of them. They are funny and kind. Yes, they are trying to squeeze the lost out of you but if you bargain hard you can get a good price. Like a shirt will start at $15 but you can get it for $3-5. Depending on which kind you are after. It’s geared for tourists so remember that.

Mix of traditional Asian market and night life modern premium shops and restaurants. Nice to walk in the evening. Still having a lot of local restaurants and fruit shops open in the evening. It’s worth taking a walk around or even shopping when you are in Seam Reap.

You can buy stuff here but it’s not too enjoyable as staff is very pushy and quite impolite. Some nice sellers too, average quality clothes and most sell similar stuff
