8 months agoAmazing!! Perfect place in Luang Prabang to chill, cool down and swim in the river after an hot day in the city! Different spots to relax and to see a stunning sunset! Close to the place there is also a bar where you can drink and eat something. Highly recommended!2 months agoNo way I’m daring going into a pool on the river.. where they could literally be snakes and crocodiles around. Neverrrrrin the last weekChill out !
Phousi Hill
At the top, you will be rewarded with a very scenic, aerial view of the city and the Mekong river. It is a very beautiful sight given the mountainous backdrop. It is also a popular destination to appreciate the sunset, so it will likely be very crowded during sunset time.
Best time to climb is likely during the early morning hours, or just before sunset time. It may be too scorching hot for a comfortable climb in the middle of the day. There’s also an entrance fee of 20.000 kip near the top of the climb.

There are a lot of Buddha statues along the way, which you can appreciate as you ascend upwards. At the top, you will be rewarded with a very scenic, aerial view of the city and the Mekong river. 2 weeks agoIncredible temple space. The staircase are beautiful and there are buddhas and other statues all around. It did get busy for sunset and those pictures are attached but the view is incredible! Loved exploring this area and glad we got to see it. I’m sure outside of sunset hours the space is much nicer and tranquilRelated articles:- The 7 Largest Water Park in Pakse
