Man Cave hostel is in a really convenient location. The room was spacious. The bed and blanket were very comfortable. The shared bathrooms and areas were clean. It was very convenient having the restaurant attached. We had dinner day the evening we arrived and it was tasty. We had breakfast included in our stay which was very nice. We were able to book our onward transport from the hostel too.

Just finished up a 2 night stay here with my girlfriend. Overall even though the rooms are basic it was fine for a night or two. Some amenities were missing like soap at the sinks, hair dryer etc and a strong sewage smell from the shared bathrooms.

What isn’t completely clear when booking is the amount of noise that reverberates through the building on nights music is played, it literally shakes the beds until the early hours of the morning.

When checking out I was also made to feel quite uncomfortable by the young barista and what I can only assume are his friends. Laughing and pointing at me, wasn’t professional at all.

Therefore I wouldn’t recommend staying here for any longer than you need to.

Nice place but I’ve ordered a pumpkin soup and the portion was tiny- it was served in the coffee cup. Not worth the money. My friend ordered a pad Thai and had much better meal. Also burgers looked nice.

I stayed here 2 different times during my travels in Laos and enjoyed the relaxing and social environment they created here. The private rooms are clean & cool and the dorms were also nice. Having a pool is very nice as well as food and a bar…they have it all. Good place to meet other travelers as well. Thank you!

We arrived and they were apologizing and I was worried, but then they said we don’t have your room so we will put you in a better room. That was better service than you usually encounter in SEA. We really appreciated that! It’s a hostel so lots of people and all sorts of characters. More families than we usually see in hostels, so that was cool. The place was clean, though the bathroom had a pretty gnarly smell that didn’t ever go away. Good price and helpful staff.

Lively and social hostel, great location, cheap price. The AC works well. I felt safe there even though I was in a huge mixed dorm. There are big and convenient lockers to put your belongings. I didn’t like that it smelled beer in the dorm but I guess it’s unavoidable in a party hostel. The bed didn’t feel so clean but it was all right. People are respectful and quiet even though there’s music downstairs. I didn’t try the food but it looks like there’s a great variety of choice for breakfast lunch and dinner.
