Rooms are clean, bed not the most comfortable but fine overall. The guy in charge was polite on my arrival however, I couldn’t understand why it’s cheaper to stay in an 8 bed dorm than the large 16 bed. He explained because it’s larger but didn’t want to open the smaller 8 bed for me as there was no one else in there. It’s a pretty quiet hostel (other than the snoring), not social at all but a good stop close to the KL sentral bus station. I think it should be cheaper for what it is as there’s better options in KL. The guy on reception in the morning was rude, unhelpful and miserable so don’t expect the best greeting. Also, I was woken at midnight to a female staff flinging open the door, switching on the light and showing people into the room, talking loudly – no knocking or apology for waking me up which was very strange. I wouldn’t stay here for a backpack stop for a short or long period, only for the location to the bus station. Bathroom is pretty clean and showers warm with soap provided.

Incredibly rude owner and terrible bathroom

The bathrooms had rusty doors and the sink water also was very strange (I’m a KL local). See the attached pictures for more. This on its own was fine, it’s one of those things you come to expect from hostels sometimes but what happened next made leave early and just book another place.

I booked a mini-pod for two nights and made a mistake, apparently outside guests weren’t allowed in even for a short while. This on its own was fine, I was happy to go down to the reception to get a other room or bed and register my guest. Rules are rules, I respect that and I apologised immediately even for misunderstanding.

The owner appeared out of nowhere ( Local Indian guy) shirtless and started yelling at us and told me to bring her downstairs (again I was very happy to oblige, I just didn’t realise at the time). He seemed drunk (maybe he’s just an angry person) and made us feel unsafe.

Its absolutely fair to enforce hostel rules, I’m sorry again for not knowing even dropping off luggage was an issue. But this behaviour and attitude from the owner was honestly insane. He makes me ashamed to call myself a Malaysian. I really think this person needs to learn how to communicate instead of shouting at people like this.

All in all, I do NOT recommend this place if you expect normal human courtesy. They treat their guests terribly if they make a mistake. The way the guy shouted at us, I can’t understand why he thought that would be necessary. People make mistakes, you can be at least a decent human being.

The rooms/toilets are exactly as advertised so it’s pretty good value for money. It’s quieter than many other hostels in SEA. The staff is so welcoming- the receptionist even invited me to go with her to a free salsa dancing class. Location is out of the golden triangle but convenient to Sentral/public transportation.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic property that offers both dorms and private rooms, and let me tell you, it met all of my expectations.

First off, the location is fantastic. Situated in the heart of the city Bukit Bintang, it’s close to all the major attractions and public transportation, making it extremely convenient for exploring everything the city has to offer. Whether you’re into sightseeing or just want to immerse yourself in the local culture or you want to meet fellow international travellers, this property is the perfect base for your adventures.

The dorms are comfortable and budget friendly. Each bed is equipped with its own power outlet, and reading light, allowing for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. The shared bathrooms are kept clean.

If privacy is more your style, the private rooms are a great option. They offer a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. Moreover this property also have a common area which ha got beautiful park view.

One of the highlights of my stay was the helpful and friendly staff. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

Overall, my stay at this property was very good. The combination of comfortable accommodations, prime location, and a friendly, vibrant atmosphere makes it a top choice for anyone looking for an unforgettable and enriching travel experience. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a group of friends, this property compatible to all. I will definitely be returning on my next visit and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay that is in city centre and budget friendly.

Nice location, close to the market for food, rooms got cold, bed was comfy. Stayed 3 nights. Only con is there isn’t any windows so you have no idea if it is rainy or about to rain. Good quality for the price. The only place I met other travelers was in my room, but talking with them is easy since it is open concept (no curtains). Super hard to find the hostel, it is in the back of a restaurant. Restaurant staff are trained at spotting confused looking travelers in front of their restaurant looking for a sign that says Dorms KL. They’ll point it out to you which is what they did for me.
