3 months agoWe stayed here and we loved the experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Everything was clean and the ac was good. Safe place to sleep in because of the coded doors. It was small but it was more than enough, more than affordable and homey.5 months agoduring my 6night here in 8 hostel. i slep very well because the room was clean and bathroom. and the people at the front desk are smart accept for the girl who is on duty Friday night at the front desk.. for me 8 hostels is very nice and good #very clean room100%3 months agoThis has got to be the crustiest budget hotel I have ever set foot on. 700 pesos for 6 hours is a fair price IF the room is clean and the walls aren’t made of plywood. You could hear every single rustle that goes on outside your room. Security seemed low; the only thing standing between you and akyat-bahays is a single door with an electronic lock which by the way can be unlocked with a 4 digit security code. It only takes one employee to sell you out and have you burglarized. The bed sheets were a pathetic excuse for white. “Putim” would be more fitting.
The only redemption 8 Hostel got for me is the high-powered AC.
Not coming back to this place.
10 months agoI stayed with the female shared room. Overall my experience is good because the room is clean and Aircon is good as well and you don’t need a key or card for your rooms, plus there are toiletries for my 1 night stay and I got this from a cheap online deal. My only comment was the noises outside the room around 6 in the morning which keeps waking me up. I will still book here in the same room despite of that because of price and also cool room.3 months agoOver all it was a good experience, but the area is not good, and very smelly.Very nice and affordable place for backpackers and budget travelers.

a month agoI absolutely love this place. The vibe, the cleanliness, and the location are outstanding. The rich history of the building and the rooftop bar and deck (up the spiral staircase on the top floor) are a hidden gem. Definitely, 100%, stay here in Manila and don’t think twice. Bring a drone for amazing rooftop shots.a month agoAwesome place in a good area in Manila. The rooftop is unbeatable, the beds are comfortable and clean, there are lockers, many hooks to hang things in the rooms. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is good. Very loud at night, they could have insulated/made the rooms a bit more soundproof. However, I can totally recommend this place.2 months agoGood chilled rooftop bar was the place my friends and I visited. We didn’t stay here nor did we eat anything, just drank some beers.Music was on point, and we were rocking old skool stuff with a little more modern vibe. Drinks fairly priced and service was top notch by friendly staff always with a smile..even the big at the elevator ?
2 months agoI stayed in a private room and it was very clean and spacious. I had a room on level 4 and it wasn’t too noisy (even on a Saturday night.) They had an atm inside which was handy, nice breakfast everyday and the best part was the rooftop bar.5 months agoDidn’t stay here but the rooftop bar is good fun. Very quiet the night we were there, but the drinks were flowing and the DJ played our selections as desired. Great views of the city at night
