in the last weekVery good location in HCM , the service was exceptional . I was welcomed and informed by Rosie who spoke very good English, and seems to be so hardworking and good at what she does. The rooms are clean and pretty basic but decent considering the central location of the hostel (perfect if your on a budget) – Right in the centre of shopping/food/party street / markets – definitely recommend and will expect to come back. Great service and housekeeping , and toilet facilities are good. I really appreciate the efforts of the team ??2 weeks agoI stayed here with 3 other friends in a four bedded dorm and we had a great experience. Firstly, just the perfect location for everything like sightseeing, food, party, shopping etc. Secondly, just the cleanest property and rooms. Thirdly, they provide clean linen, towels and shower needs. Fourthly, clean the room meticulously everyday and free water to refill. Finally, it’s about Anna at the front desk. She welcomed us so warmly that we felt like home. Right after we checked in, she gave us all the details of the city, explaining it to us meticulously and made sure that we check out the best places to shop, eat and go around. She was just the best host we had in our two weeks long stay in Vietnam. Thank you Anna.a month agoVery nice, clean hostel. We arrived from the US after a 32 hour flight and tried to check into a hotel we’d reserved that was across the street from City Backpackers. Turned out that the hotel was closed and gross. City Backpackers was open and VERY clean. The staff spoke great English, and were incredibly helpful. They gave us a map and showed us places to check out. The room was nice, had its own bathroom, and came with clean linens, shampoo, and body wash. It even had a TV and a balcony. Honestly, it’s nicer than most motels in the US. I’d definitely recommend this place, and would stay here again.2 weeks agoAnna, from the moment of meeting her was very helpful. Her customer care was incredible. All the staff are very helpful here it’s got a really good vibe value for money and it’s next to everything right in the centre of Saigon. I will be staying here again it was that good, I booked an extra two nights.2 months agoThere were so many hotel/hostel accommodations to choose from in this prime location, and I’m SO GLAD I went with this place! I got a private room so I’ll be reviewing from that POV. Anna runs the joint and is 100% responsive with all texts, inquires, and confirmations. Checking in is really easy, and she pointed us in all the right directions for where we could go and what sights to see. She is SUPER INFORMATIVE with real talk advice and suggestions. There are tour agencies everywhere but she’s got the hookups for all those tours like the Cu Chị tunnels (which we checked out; highly recommended), Mekong River Delta (which I’ll have to come back to see), and etc. I liked how CLEAN the rooms smelled and looked, which is surprising considering that it’s a hostel! I was also pleasantly surprised that we got fresh towels and room service every day so coming back to a hot shower was always like new like a hotel. The biggest thing for me was how helpful staff were, and Anna was always looking out for us to optimize our experience with minimal spending. Clean water is free and available in the lobby, and coming down to her warm greeting was always a great start to venture our days. I really don’t feel the need to “try” other accommodations after my stay here. Next time I come back (likely winter 2024), I’m staying here again. Thank you, Anna!

2 months agoOverall, I truly enjoyed my stay here. The bedroom and bathroom were nice, especially for the price. My only complaint was that my room had no windows at all.
The location is awesome too. There’s a lot to do within walking distance and great food and bar options nearby.
The bar itself was my favorite part. The bartenders and the manager are really fun to be around. Kan, one of the bartenders, was one of the friendliest locals I met on my trip. He’s an awesome guy and I recommend you get a drink with him! The bar itself has a large selection of drinks, and they have good deals with cheap prices.
Thank you for showing me a good time!

3 months agoFantastic hostel in HCMC. Staff are wonderful, facilities are nice, and location is hard to beat. 1km from War Museum/Palace, near nightlife and restaurants. Hostel offers a free beer for guests between 7-8pm which is nice to meet people. Staff at reception and bar were exceptional in my opinion, always happy to help and provide insights and suggestions in the city. It is a party hostel, so it’s great to meet new people and head out for a night out. The hostel shuts down their music and bar at 11pm. Tour company contracted with the hostel is fantastic as well – guides were very knowledgeable, ran on schedule, and spoke great English. I recommend booking the tours through the hostel for Cu Chi, etc for the best rates and convenience. Will be back again if in HCMC.a month agoGreat hostel, they offering the tours also.. room clean, location close by restoran and mini market. The reception helpfull about asking for flight/train/bus ticket, about tour or walking around. Thank you for Hai because help me for the 1st day in Vietnam ?? Recommended for stay here7 months agoDecent place to stay. The dorms are fine and having the privacy curtain, light and plugs in each bunk was nice. I stayed Friday/Saturday and it was very loud so if you’re expecting a good night sleep it’s probably not the place for you. The bathroom setup in the dorms is kind of awkward. Crowd seemed to skew fairly young (lots of British uni students/recent grads).Staff was very friendly/helpful. They rent towels which was nice and offer reasonable laundry service. They printed my boarding pass for my flight as well. There is a bar in the hostel and you get a free beer each night.
I would consider staying again for a cheap place to park myself for a night or two in HCMC.
3 months agoProbs best hostel in Saigon. Party but not crazy; has nice pods. Lovely spacious ensuite in dorm bathrooms- movie room- pool table – bar- chill area.

- Homestays: Homestays provide the opportunity to stay with a local family and experience the Vietnamese culture in a more authentic way. You’ll have a private room in a local’s home and may also get the chance to learn about traditional customs, taste homemade meals, and explore off-the-beaten-path attractions. Some popular homestay options in Ho Chi Minh City include Mekong Sunset Homestay and Nguyen Shack Homestay.
