2 months agoThis was my first experience in a public hospital, and it made me sad for the local people. I have seen better care and more compassion given to dogs at the vet. I was shocked by the lack of healthcare, and care provided by the nurses and doctors. If you do not have people to help you do not go to this hospital, even when you have help its horrible. I did not die so I guess they are better than 1 star.3 weeks agoTurned up at Da Nang General Hospitals very very busy A&E dept. one evening with my partner unable to breath. She was put straight on oxygen. Communicated with the doctor via Google translate and after numerous tests she was diagnosed with a very serious lung infection and kept in overnight on the local ward to stabilise her condition. Next morning she had a CT Scan which confirmed the diagnosis and she was transferred to a private ward in the hospital as we had medical travel insurance. The staff were friendly and extremely professional in A&E and once in the private ward the the the attention to detail and professionalism was just as good if not better than any hospital in the UK5 months agoIf I could give zero stars, I would. The guy in the ER that came to help me had an attitude when his colleague asked him to translate. I showed him my arm, which had a reaction to me shaving, and he was very loud and ignorant. He spoke loudly stating it was herpes when people were looking. Next he stated it was chicken pox I had from a child. I’m glad I didn’t stay and went to Family Hospital and got the assistance I needed. The doctor there confirmed it was a reaction due to me having sensitive skin and being my first time shaving. Never again to this place. You don’t guess and just tell someone they have a disease and yell out loud to try and embarrassing others. This proves he had no knowledge in his job.in the last weekno english at all. Din’t even try to get me someone who speaks English, you might have a hard time heading there.a year agoOne of the.better healthcare facility in the region! Nice multi-function hospital, Oncology n Tropical Diseases.

6 months agoI went for my Pap smear test. Dr Shawn was very professional. I also did a blood test, I’m scared of needles but Dr Hong did it and it was painless, she’s very good. I did blood tests in the past and it was always scary and painful but she did very well. I’m also very happy with Mr Nguyen Van Chuong, he helped me with the translation, X-ray test, blood test, wisdom tooth removal, he translated all for me as well as the medicine, he also translated what I can and can’t do after tooth removal, he did all of that for 4 hours from Vietnamese to English, from documents to staffs. I’m grateful and I appreciate all of his help. I’m very happy with the service. ❤️ Also Thu helped me with booking my appointments and she speaks English really well and I appreciate it. ?a month agoI rarely leave reviews good or bad, but I had an absolute nightmare experience here and need to warn others to stay away.Went for a health check and a minor surgery. Health check took hours with rude and pushy staff. For an “international” hospital I saw 0 foreign staff and English level was basic at best. I even overheard the nurses speak badly about foreigners in Vietnamese thinking I wouldn’t understand.
The minor surgery I had required stitches which quickly got infected. When I called hospital they recommended I come in and get it checked for another fee of 500k + materials/medicine. I spent several hundred dollars already, why is basic aftercare not included?
The icing on the cake was when it was time to pay, the cashier tried to charge me twice. It took 10 staff members arguing with each other and disputing charges with me for 20 minutes until they finally relented and let me pay the proper amount on the bill.
Proper nightmare fuel this place, and an absolute joke of an “international” hospital.
2 weeks agoNurses are very enthusiastic, hospital is clean, the doctor is friendly. Paperwork was done quickly too – we spent less than 45 minutes for paperwork, doctors consultation, x ray and medicine purchase. You can pay with your Visa card which is great. As a foreigner, make sure to double check your bill. Keep track of what you already paid (you pay every single service) and make sure they subtract it from your final bill.
a week agoFantastic, reading the reviews I was a bit concerned but took a shot and seen Dr D. Mitchell, to get a second opinion on neck injury, he called in the MRI Order and I was taken care of in 1 hour and a blood test.. could not be happier. The cost was insanely inexpensive the same MRI in the states have cost me 5k . Thank you all Family Hospital4 weeks agothe staff is really nice and it was a quick visit, didn’t spend more than 1h first time as a totally new patient. They prepare the paperwork for international insurance and send you by email in a matter of days. definitely recommended if you ever need a doctor. The prices are very affordable for such a quick treatment without any appointment.
