  Famous spot in Da Nang.

  If you visit on a sunny day, it’s literally a place that no filters are needed.

  Easy to commute and there are shops + restaurant nearby. When you get inside the cathedral ground, just walk around and you will be amazed by all the little spots and details.

  Just be aware of the opening hours.

  We went there on a Sunday evening and the service just finished when we arrived. There were many attendees and the priest was very friendly to have a short chitchat with us before we left.

  The church very similar to the Catholic churches in the Philippines so it reminds us of home while we were in Da Nang.

  Very touristy, full of korean tourists taking photos. Da Nang Cathedral has a lot of names, such as Tourane Church or Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. However, local people are more familiar with the name of Rooster Church. The reason is that the French installed a rooster in its top for weather forecast (measuring wind power). Da Nang cathedral features a magnificent Gothic architecture, rising up to 70 meters. Its façade is pinky and trendy, giving it a nickname “the pink church” as many travelers know.
