9 months agoWent at around 3pm and the restaurant was quiet. Waitress was very friendly and happy to serve. The homemade pork burger’s patty was really juicy and tender, and the buns were soft. It came with a generous amount of fries and coleslaw. Would love to revisit and try other things on the menu!a year agoI was attracted by the name of the restaurant and outlook. I was adamant that this is good. However it was kinda disappointing to say the least. First impression looking at the menu was i’m probably in for a disappointment, but still gave it a go, was hoping to be delighted even though the menu was from 1970s we (2 pax) ordered: 1) Mushroom Soup (2/10) the mushroom soup was really really bland. hardly any mushroom taste at all. it’s just like drinking water. the croutons served with the soup was soggy and soft. 2) Caramalized Apple salad (1/10) Caramalized apple salad was too much in terms of taste. It came with a ‘gula melaka’ salad dressing which i thought was interesting. It came drenched with this dressing. Needless to say, it was extremely sweet with the gula melaka. Knowing the dressing being such over powering taste, i’d probably drizzle just a little tiny bit to the salad (and balance it with vinaigrette), but nope, the salad was literally drenched with this ultra sweet dressing, which makes it unbearable to eat. 1 spoonful each, and we couldn’t continue. 3) Garlic Bread (2/10) garlic bread served was nothing like the photo in the menu. On top of garlic, it is also made with melted cheese, which was a little too strong for my partner. and the bread was HUGE! and 3 whole slices were served as a portion. We ended up eating just 1 slice. 4) Seafood Curry pasta (1/10) When one mention ‘Seafood’ in the menu, one would expect a variety of seafood to be served. Nope, this pasta came with 4 meager size clamp (lala) and 2 medium size prawns (not exactly fresh). That’s all. no fish slice, no mussels, no squid. To me, this doesn’t qualified as being called Seafood Pasta. And again, somehow, the chef managed to make the curry super sweet, which i totally did not get. Doesn’t exactly taste like curry bcos of the sweetness. huge disappointment with this dish. 5) Guiness ribs (1/10) It’s described as “6 hours sous vide Guiness Ribs” which is very eye catching. This is probably the biggest disappointment of the whole lot. The meat was dried, tough, and really really bland. It is fork tender, but all moistures or juices has been cooked out, it is extremely dry, with no texture whatsoever left. The supposedly 6 hours cooking did nothing more than total damage to the meat. U can tell that this ribs was probably cooked a week ago. and just like the other dishes, the guiness sauce is very sweet. apart from sweetness, u really can’t taste anything else. lastly, even the drinks (black coffee & flower tea) was a disappointment… the only plus point (why i didn’t give it 1-star) was the staff was ok friendly (there’s only 1 staff who takes care of seatings, ordering, drinks, server and cashier) Overall, i’m sorry to say, i will not consider visiting this ever again. It was a huge disappointment.2 months agoI ordered fish & chips and rosemary chicken chop. The fish & chips are obviously over-fried and chicken chop isn’t taste fresh, even the side dish (mashed potato) is cold. Although the food portion is quite generous but the food quality is a big no no.a year agoService and ambience was good , food abit dissatisfied. I ordered homemade pork burger, patty was nice but burger bun was too hard , difficult to cut and hard bite . It will be better if serve wit soft bun , French fries serve with big portion.4 years agoDelicious! Probably the best cafe in Butterworth. Staffs are friendly and the ambient is cozy with relaxing music playing on the background.Definitely order their green tea waffle!! Tasted so good and the food presentation is awesome, cost only RM10.90 ? worth every penny spent

2 months agoSecond time here. This time had Pan Seared Chicken Leg. Unique beautiful presentation. Tasty without overpowering. The Chicken Supreme Pomodoro is also good11 months agoThe environment here is relaxing and the customers were considerate to each other during our time here so it was not very noisy.The parking spaces are limited though and you have to be lucky to get the 2 spots in front of the cafe.
We did not have a problem with the staff service and that is a welcoming sight. There isn’t a lot of cake variety so desserts aren’t the place’s strong suit. Food-wise, our fish&chips was alright but the noodles could be better.
However, the food prices are a little bit expensive if you look at the Asian noodle dishes (RM20+ price/bowl). Overall, this is a good place to visit but you should be wise to order the worthy dishes to get value for your money.
10 months agoAfter a long drive & tiring day from Klang to Penang had Bon appetit food? friendly staff wit nice environment.. foods served within 10-15mins.. Yes before step inside will be questioned how many person/pax so it’s easy for them provide suitable place/table (Understandable).. Sure will back n oso recommend to others.. 7/3/20236 months agoeverything was fine except the “croffle” a bit too XS size but the illustration shown in the menu was much bigger size. Had a chat with the waiter to complaint abt it… should just label as “mini croffle”.5 years agoWent for the Christmas Eve dinner. Very big portion and very very full. 1 star short for the overcook chicken breast and funny berry sauce. Doesn’t match the main course. Lobster and fish is lovely! Semi raw Octopus is a bit hard to chew tho. Overall is not overprice, but food is ok and nice environment. Got a free plush toy snow man at that night very nice!

Cafe owner free me mushrooms soup as it has not full set soup to be sell. ? I order additional garlic bread to compensate him… Relax vibe and food nice with reasonable price… Recommended to dine thr.
My first time here. Enjoyed the food. Fast serving. Portion are perfect, tasty and price is reasonable. The parking is my main concern, it’s not easy getting the parking in here.

Very cosy place to relax. Variety choices in the menu: chinese food, western food, sandwich, English breakfast, pizza, spaghetti. Many choices for beverages as well. Definitely will visit again. I ordered Butter Lemon Salmon today, although it took a while to serve the food but it worth the wait. Food taste good.
Food tasted ok. Price average. Standard size portion. Mushroom soup can be more creamier, just my personal opinion.
