a month agoThe environment here is comfy, food is nice. Most important thing is the food is nice, mac & cheese is good but if can have more cheesy taste then it will be best, same as cabonara too… The only worse thing over here is parking space, turn turn turn and turn for many mnay rounds then only able to get my parking ???5 months agoFor me this is really great place to hangout, with nice vibe and chill environment with sufficient lighting. The staffs are really proffesional and good attitude. The foods are quite good, the cheeseburger was not bad, but the patty was a bit crumbly. The cake was really good though. Located at end of the shop lot along the road Subang Jaya Medical Centre, the cafe is upstair, need to take the stairs.5 months agoNice and cozy place to hang out and enjoy good food. The choices are pastas, burgers and sandwiches. I really like my cheese steak sandwich! It’s so big but i devoured everything on my plate! lols. Come here for a nice coffee too!5 months agoIt’s our ‘usual’ for all these years.Most eateries will compromise on their standard of food and service but we’re glad to know that Upstairs has always been consistent with their great service and passion in their food. ESPECIALLY THEIR CAKES. So gooood.
Their biggest win is the affordable prices despite the weakeni ringgit and global inflation. You can still come here and have a good time without burning a huge a hole in your wallet.
P.S. to the management, probably want to just train your new guys to smile a little more when customers walk in. The usual guys are the best. Always smiling, always assuring you’re gonna have a good time here. Any complaints and they’re more than glad to compensate your experience. ??
6 months agoSolid 4.5 for me. Very affordable prices. Good place for comfort food. Food is average but for the price, I think it’s good. Coffee is good. Perfect temperature for a latte. Been a patron since 2016, the place is still cozy and clean. Will return when needing comfort food ☺️

3 months agoDecent cafe and suitable for group dining, food is above average with reasonable price, park at multi storey parking right after the pasar moden ss15.Majority of my friends ordered chicken chop, there r grilled & fried version, both looks great. I’ve ordered fish and chips, I find it pretty good as its lightly battered while it’s still crispy.

Tried the big omelette, french toast & fried chicken chop.4 months agoEdit: visited again for their good breakfast and it was superb. The breads were toasted to perfection and the had the smell of fresh bread. Would definitely recommend this dish. _________________________ First time visiting Good Friends after their relocation. The shop is a lot smaller now. Place is very busy during dinner time. Staff are friendly and efficient but waiting time for our food was pretty long. They serve their breakfast menu all day. The Breakfast Waffle was very good and definitely worth a try.5 months agoService is good from staff and very polite. Food was good too and portion is great. Not noisy and able to relax while having meal with friends or family. Toilet is clean.5 months agoFood was pretty good but boiled veggie was over cooked. Service a bit slow but staff was polite.

Quite crowded for a weekend. We got a sit upstairs and it was quite hot. A bit uncomfortable due to the hot weather. Service was good, staff was attentive. Food was not too bad. We had the chicken burger, Mr Sanders, seafood chowder, onion rings and drinks. The onions rings are recommended.
The latte was also good. Hopefully we can sit downstairs the next time we go, very hot to sit upstairs and near the glass.
Went there on a Monday evening. It was pretty crowded but we got a table within a few minutes. Nice space, attentive staff and overall the food was okay but it is pricey. 2 pasta dishes, a fish and chips, one coffee and 2 cokes cost us around RM170!
Ordered Baba Love and Hang Over. Baba Love was pretty good, felt a slight Indian food feel with the spices used.
Hang Over was quite a joke (the pic is food already but into a few bites, so it looks a little messier than originally plated). For this price, I’d typically expect real hand fries, and at least a full sausage, but what we received felt like frozen fries and cut up sausage which I felt didn’t add up to a whole sausage. There were probably 6-7 pieces of sausages? You’re getting fries, sausage, beef bacon and eggs so it’s sure to taste good, but for the price of RM28, it’s totally not worth the money.
Environment was pleasant. Got the window seat upstairs, thought didn’t feel as hot as other reviews say it is. There were small fans around, depends if you sit facing it.
Service was prompt and waiters were friendly and accommodating.
Expensive due to the atmosphere and food presentation. The salmon pizza, stuffed chicken and coconut mock tail was pretty good. However other items are not that great (friend ordered soft shell crab burger and didn’t even want to finish it) , the lava cake took 2 hours to make and turn up tasting average.
Excellent service and good environment. The food portion is big and the taste was very good. Highly recommend! Definitely will come back again.
