2 years agoBooked an appointment and brought my mum here a month ago, on a Friday afternoon. Upon reaching, there was already a lady inside colouring her hair. Then another lady went in and said she has an appointment at 130pm. I went in and told Phillip I had an appointment at 130pm too. He was quite annoyed and questioned me where did I book. It was that moment that he realised he had a double/triple booking. Around 130pm he called my mum in and didn’t make any hairstyle recommendation, and just went ahead to cut the style that she requested. She asked him for his opinion if it was suitable as her hair has natural curls, and he simply remarked that “cannot also must can”. That moment I thought he must be really skilful. My mum went in with slightly longer than shoulder-length hair requesting for a layered bob. We were out within 30mins max (waiting+wash+cut+blow). All along it was a one-man show. With the attitude and skills, it was a really bad experience. Posting what a typical layered bob looks like and what was the end-result. Last picture was a haircut at another salon charging way cheaper with better skills. Would have liked to be a regular customer here but sadly we will not be back again.a year agoHighly recommended. Was so desperate to have a haircut but most of the place was fully booked. My daughter recommended me to Arches Hairspa. At 1st was so scare to try other instead stick to my 10 years salon which my hair was very fine and flat, not many hairdresser can managed it. Despite they were fully booked but managed to squeeze me in, was served by Philip. He was so nice and friendly. His skill was professional and just a brief request. He can get what I want and have a nice cut for me. I love my haircut and would come again. Thumbs up!2 years agoI didn’t dare to have my hair cut short for years because of past bad experience…it is so hard to find a good stylist who is skilled enough to cut my short hair…even those branded salons were not able to handle my stubborn natural curled hair… Read the reviews and saw their posts, picked up my courage and made an appointment. I am so amazed by their hairstylist, Arthur. He is so friendly and skillful. If you want to try them out, do make appointment beforehand as they only have 2-3 hairstylists. When I was there, Arthur was working alone in the salon. All other customers came in with appointments. A hidden gem. I will definitely be back again.2 years agoMy 1st visit place to this salon and I’m amazed by the hairwork from Philip. He is patience and friendly person whom is also very experienced and knowledgeable hairstylist. He gave true and practical advise on what I can do on my messy hair issue. He is unlikely to some businessman whom only concerned on making every single dollars. I’m happy to have found this gem in Punggol and will definitely be back for all my future hair service.4 years agoWas looking for a salon that can do good haircuts in Punggol and found Arches. Philip didn’t disappoint and gave me a great bob cut. Really happy with the short hairstyle as it was easy to maintain and managed to make my original long thin hair not look flat. Haha that was a reason another salon refused to cut my hair short as it would be too flat. Glad to find Philip and get a hairstyle I want and best of all, it made me look good and younger. 2 weeks agoCut here a few times already. Ms Joey has been consistent in following what style i want. However, much could be said for Ms Kimberly Wong. Hair cut by her 3 times and all 3 times has been bad experiences so far. She cut according to her own style instead of following what has been shown to her.3 months agoMs Kimberly was really helpful and approachable throughout my entire visit. Even though the crowd came in halfway through the haircut, she still took meticulous care and ensured it was the haircut I wanted. The haircut turned out exactly as I had hoped for and I am happy with the experience. She was incredibly kind and friendly, and she made me feel at ease during the process.2 months agoKimberly Wang really can’t cut. Very rough when cutting my hair. You think cut grass? Kcut website said that they are KIDS FRIENDLY, but when Kimberly is cutting my child’s hair she kept repeating “please bring your child to a professional instead”. When she told me she’s done, I told her that she haven’t cut the left side, she say my child kept moving so she couldn’t cut. So what? She expect me to walk out with my child’s hair one side long and one side short?? If kcut can’t accept kids, please change your website saying “not kids friendly”. Will never patron again. Came here for haircut as walk-in without appointment. Id say the stylist who attended me is really skilled. I’m happy with my new hair.
The review for this place is so good however not satisfied at all with the haircut and service.
I initially asked for volume rebond but was offered to do it with C-Curl as volume rebond wont make much changes on my current hair. Ended, i paid for much for my hair to look 95% of my previous hair before treatment. Mybe my fault for not checking how C-curl looks like but it definitely ended almost same with my previous hair.
Unfortunately no photo of my before and after to compare.
Though i still need to recommend them for the good service during booking appointment despite my multiple date changes.
Paid almost $600 for Volume Rebond with Perm and Haircut.
I had an amazing experience with Jacky as my hair stylist! He truly has a gift when it comes to hair. He listened carefully to what I wanted and offered valuable suggestions. The end result was even better than I had hoped for. I highly recommend him services.
I just walked in without any appointment today and met Agnes at the counter. She was very friendly so I decided to get her to cut my hair. I’m so happy with my decision. She was approachable and very professional. I had fine hair and she immediately know what kindda cut is suitable for me. She will also share tips on how to take care of my hair and how to make it fuller as well. I left the salon feeling fresh and happy! Love my new haircut. Thank you, Agnes. I will definitely come back again!
Just had my hair done at Apgujeong and this was my second visit. Jacky did a great job with my hair dye on both visits, and will be back. The choice of colours was good, managed to find the right balance of not being too bright neither too dark.
The other hairstylists weren’t as friendly though, so I can’t say the same for the rest.
