3 months ago1. Not many choices of books and mostly are old books. But the environment is peaceful, good and comfortable, with working airconds. 2. Ladies washroom and some chairs need maintenance. Although we can use the library for own personal reading or working without need to pay for the membership, it is understable why the rundowns. But the library is under MBSJ jurisdiction hence public has high hope for a betterment of facilities. If the nearby Puchong Puteri Town Park is getting a new look, why not Perpustakaan Hipermedia MBSJ Bandar Puteri? Go go go MBSJ!! ?? 3. What amazed me the most is that they even collected all sorts of magazine and local comics into hardcover thick books, ala “buku tesis”. See the photos to believe it. Honestly, the effort should be praised because i do read back old mags and local comics in other libraries but they are in the “sayur masin” condition. 4. The staffs are friendly, guided where’s the library (since shared building with MBSJ office) and even recommend locker to keep bag. Using the locker is FOC, just need to register at the library counter. 5. Lastly, it is my 1st visit here. Will come back again to read the nicely binded mags and comics. Looking forward a betterment of our local public library.a week agoEnvironment is good and quiet enough . Anyways , some time because of the air conditioner problem(?) it was a bit hot ya. Lastly , Really hope the library can open till 7pm during Saturday and Sunday .4 weeks agoToo hot. Air cond not function well. And the space for public user is too small.a year agoIt’s a free public library manage by city municipal. Easy to park.It was divided into two section; adult and kids. There’s a lot of activities, books and board games available here for kids. The air cond is broken during time of visit so they put a standing fan temporarily.
4 years agoThis library is always filled with visitors both older and young generation. They have some books for students especially for secondary students and recipe books too.
However, the library can be improved better on the facilities. Firstly, the library is very dim which is not good for reading with poor lightings. Not only that, there is very limited plug point for charging around 2-3 only in one certain area. Because of that, everyone always will rush to sit near the area.
As for WiFi, recently, it seems to be able to use to generally surf the internet except playing games as the internet is restricted for gaming. Moreover, toilet is clean but there is always an absence of toilet paper and basic amenities.
Lastly, those who want to use the charging station are advised to come early.

A nice small library with a surprising good collection of books. They have a kids section. In it there are some small kids toy furniture where they can play masak masak. Only complaint is that membership to borrow books is renewable @RM 7 per year. In contrast the Selangor State library is completely free.
Adults section
Kids section wit books, toys and games
2 discussion rooms in kid section (need to book at counter)
Varieties of kids books, school books(eg UPSR tahun 5, tahun 6) and novels in kid section
Computer with extra charges
Free wifi
Ample parking in-front
Follow dress code
Quiet area
and friendly staffs too
Good library, i enjoyed studying there. friendly staff. Have problem with air conditioning hence they installed fans but I will not go back again because of the bad experience as explained below.
This is my experience on 2nd June 2023,
Got shouted out of the library for not wearing appropriately to their dress code (my partner was wearing skirt). We’ve been there plenty of times without problems in the past, in fact we were there since the morning and just came back from dinner. We would have just left if he simply told us to, don’t have to be shouting really.
Security is rude and aggressive, would not recommend for girls to go alone as it could’ve gotten physical(he was in our face and knocking our car even when we’re leaving). Will write an official email to the authority too.
Edit: He also went on and on in a power trip saying he control the whole compound and will kick us out again when they see us in the future. Really disappointing to see someone like that could qualify to work as security for the government.
Aircond has not been working and no improvements made for months… Toilet is always out of tissue paper so do remember to bring some yourselves.
However, more importantly, the front counter mannerism has to be improved. Why put someone so ill mannered to represent your library?
I have been to this library several times to study, never encountered any issue whereby the staff told me I can’t enter due to dress code. On that day, I also spent few hours in the library. Staffs saw me when I was entering and leaving library but didn’t say a word.
When I re-entered the library, security guard was excessively agressive and borderline violent, I stayed calm during the whole conversation but he clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day.
There was also a language barrier as the guard only understood Malay. When I clarified what was wrong, conversing using mostly Malay and some English with him, he kept shouting/loudly speaking back.
I certainly was shocked. I did not appreciate shouting when effective communication would have done a better and faster job. It shows a lack of professionalism.
I really think that he was showing his power/authority he had over denying me entry.
Side note: they updated the hours so the library is opened for longer hours. But I won’t be visiting anytime soon after my experience, eventually if I do, I’ll make sure to bring someone with me just in case something goes wrong.
For those who had bad experiences with the staffs, please try understand that they are actually trying to prevent you from regularly visiting the library! They won’t maintain the toilets! They won’t give AC! They’ll intimidate you!
Well, that’s how they get BUTA GAJI.
