2 weeks agoGreat service, good food. The spring onion side dish was especially good. Had to ask the servers to not to start cooking the next batch of meat because we were still eating the ones previously cooked. They were very accommodating and even changed the hot plate for us without asking.7 months agoHighly recommend just getting the beef sets.The service was tip top and location was great. Pork sets weren’t that amazing.
Nice ambience, toilets abit small
6 months agoOrdered the galbi stew which was really delicious – generous chunks of tender melt in your mouth beef cubes that fall off the bones + soft potatoes that were well marinated in the sweet savoury red sauce. There was free flow banchan (loved the spinach, beansprouts, kimchi and caramelised sweet potatoes) + the staff gave us a complimentary vegetable pancake as well (crispy on the edges, soft and chewy in the centre). Ended off the meal with a wedge of sweet and refreshing watermelon yum! Staff were all very attentive and would actively offer to replenish the banchan, highly recommend this place!6 months agoAlways a favourite. We took the set for 3-4 pax. 12 months agoFirst time visiting and I love it. The food is good and the servicer is very attentive too. I will definitely visit again when I’m in Malacca. Cost wise is considered reasonable. Slightly on the high side.

5 months agoThis shop opens 365 days a year from inception. If that isn’t dedication and sacrifice, i don’t know what is. ?Very friendly lady boss too!
We had the pork dakgalbi set (10/10)- where you can add on your veges and sides. They help you to cook, so you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the delicious food. So delicious! Comes with an array of refillable banchan.
We also had Topokki – 5/10 Abit too basic. Feels like commercial topokki sauce in frozen topokki. But taste is fine.
Mandu – 7/10 It’s meaty and savoury. Good accompaniment.
Steam eggs – 6/10 A piping hot egg. On the hottest stone bowl ? beautiful presentation however lacks seasoning. Almost tasteless (altho i am a fan of bland-ish food, i have to rate it whole-ly)
✨ Overall Score: 7/10 ✨ I feel the dakgalbi itself was superb. However – the side dishes were a let down. ?

in the last weekIt has been a while since I last visited this shop, and this was my first visit after MCO. The service was still extremely good, and the prices didn’t increase much. One of the more traditional shop in Melaka, serving authentic Korean food for more than a decade. Very friendly boss who greets the guests and attentive to your order.
We ordered the 2 person set meal this round and luckily we were quite hungry, the food portion filled up 98% of our max capacity.
Food and drinks are at higher prices, so we’ll consider to come only during special celebration days. I liked the kimchi and glass noodle and the Bbq duck meat. Complete them all with a mild ginseng tea for a sweet ending.
Been here long time ago, it never failed our expectations. Good food good environment. Friendly boss. A good place to dine in especially with friends and family. Highly recommend. We ordered set for two person, add drinks and service tax, it come to RM150. Consider standard price for Korean restaurant.

I have been to few korean restaurants in the state, but none was as good as this one.
Food served in generous portion. Unlike those that serve hotdogs, Soo La Kan serves mostly vege instead of processed food.
Ordered grilled pork, kimchi soup and cold noodles. These are surprisingly REALLY REALLY GOOD (despite the portion of the grilled pork is slightly small). We also have steamed egg for free, thanks to the very generous lady boss.
Besides the fact that there’s flies in the restaurant, everything was really great. Would definitely visit again.
A long time beloved Korean BBQ restaurant situated in the heart of Melaka Raya that is run by a friendly and chatty Korean couple.
It has been operating for more than 10 years. The restaurant’s full of nostalgic interior and deco is spacious, clean, brightly lit and airy.
We had a blast. ’nuff said ?
