  1. I like this place because it’s very airy. The good air movement reduces the residual smell you get on your clothes after eating. Tables are also spaced out well. The decor however could be much improved. Overall, looks lazy.

Coming to the food, the bean paste stew is superb and a must try. Comes boiling hot. Nice balanced taste. The egg roll with cheese is well seasoned and the kimchi fried rice quite delicious.

The seafood pancake however is quite disappointing. I can count the minimal kesian looking ‘seafood’ pieces with one hand and the taste of the pancake is subpar. The grilled octopus and meat I shouldn’t comment as we are supposed to do it ourselves but I asked them to do it. It was done a bit over and came out dry

Drinks are delicious though and the staff attentive and helpful.

  2. very friendly owners and service staff. attentive and timely top up of side dishes. awesome food, value for money. will give it another visit!

  3. Food was incredible and staff were super friendly but of a language barrier as we only speak English but they tried very hard to make sure we had a great experience ! And oh so much food !

  4. Had the buffet dinner. Value for money. Ambiance was good. But there was no exhaust hood where we were seated so it was quite warm and smokey. Good thing is was well ventilated.

This is one of the cleanest Korean BBQ restaurant you will find to eat at. Because they BBQ the meat before serving you, there’s no heavy smell and oily environment that you usually find associated with Korean BBQ restaurant. Of course you can BBQ the meat yourself but I note that most patrons here are happy to let the restaurant do it for them.

The meat arrives well cooked and BBQed. I find that it was very well seasoned but a tad bit dry. The vegetable that comes with it is however very fresh and when combined with the meat, garlic, onions and kimchi, makes a superb wrap combination that causes an explosion of taste in your mouth.

The soy based stew was inedibly salty but they were kind enough to add some hot water and remake it for us. After the repair, the taste was good but still a bit heavy on the salt. The pancake was thin and delicious but I think the seafood ingredient was a little lacking. The condiment sauce that accompanies it pairs with the pancake well.

I loved the kimchi fried rice because it had a good balanced taste without being too heavy or spicy from the kimchi. The gimbap tasted fresh and simple without being ornately complicated.

Not that it should matter, but the owner is a nice Korean lady that comes very so often to check on you and make sure you are having a good meal.

Pro 1. Very friendly and polite lady boss can speak a little Malay language 2. Reasonable price 3. Nice food 4. I came at 930pm. Ask lady boss what time close, she tell nicely and ask me take my time to eat. No need to rush since they got to do cleaning too. (With mixture of korea and malay language)

Con 1. Worker got to improve of their work attitude. Since i came around 930pm. No one serve me till i walk to them at the back of the shop. Then she ask me sit at the front table n pass me the menu ask me to order immediately due to last call soon. (Without giving me more time to explore what they have in their menu. Therefore i felt very stress and got to order fast) 2. When the food serve, I ask waitress can I refill the side dish. She said yes but only until 955pm. (My food serve at 940pm). Personally think staff got to be train to be more friendly and polite. But not that typical staff attitude. They got to learn from their lady boss. The boss is way humble than her staff.

Not a bad place for Korean BBQ. Wasn’t overly impressed though. But I think the locals like it as there are usually diners here.

I did like their interesting wall decor. The tables are arranged a little tight but ok. Moving in and out is fairly easy. The staffs are friendly and tries their best to accommodate our request. But language barrier is a real issue with lots of them. End up a little stressed at times as chicken and duck cannot communicate well. ?

As for the BBQ, they will cook it for you if they are not busy and they cook it quite well. Well seasoned and delicious, enjoyable when wrapped with the fresh greens. The 5 side dishes are ok but the onion and cucumber is subpar. Free refills as expected.

The kimchi ramen is quite generous and the spice packs a punch as expected. The soya bean paste soup was also well made. A little salty but overall the taste was yummy and the soup has a nice body to it. The best thing is both came boiling hot. Perfect for those that like tongue burning soup.

The pancake however was however quite disappointing. The centre of the pancake still had this undercooked powdery pockets. And the edges lacked the crispy crunch I enjoy. Probably needs a bit more time on the pan.

All in all, not a bad place but few improvements will make it better.

Good experience at my first Korean BBQ in Penang. Reasonably clean and decent ventilation over the barbecue to prevent customers walking out too smelly. Service was quick and food was cooked over hot coals.

All the barbecued meat was flavourful, tender, and well-cooked by a staff member. I would have actually preferred to do the cooking myself; I’m not sure if that would have been an option as I didn’t ask. The rest of the side dishes were okay.

We ordered the Set B menu and shared it between two. I’d say there was a good amount of food – filling enough for the price. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their dishes.

I’m truly impressed by this Korean BBQ restaurant. The self-cook style provides a unique and interactive experience. The meats provided are incredibly fresh and of top-notch quality. The staff is professional and attentive, always ready to offer suggestions for mixing the perfect sauces. All of this creates a delightful dining experience that fills both the stomach and heart with joy.

One of the better tasting Korean food restaurant I have had so far. Food portion as decent but taste was spot on. Had been there a few times over the pass 2 years. Food taste quality is maintained. Service is hectic but they will still serve you as best as they could with the refills of the side dishes and vegetables.

BBQ Lamb meat is a treat~ The Rice ball with fish roe and seaweed is a must. Kimchi-jjigae is rich and cheese tteok-bokki is also very filling as well.

As for the best time to visit, it is best to come early to avoid crowd. No reservation will be allowed so all is fair with 1st cone 1st serve methodology.

What a great authentic Korean restaurant, they insisted use charcoal instead of gas. I can guarantee that food here is genuinely delicious. Moreover , staffs and owner are really kind, helpful and warm hearted. Strongly recommended this restaurant to everyone who want to discover the real taste of Korean food.
