  1. I was quite skeptical when I arrived. And I was surprised to see the restaurant was almost full as early as 630pm. And so, yes. Their food was actually very good. I love their kimchi soup. This is a must have because not many Korean restaurant serves good Kim chi soup w pork and veggies. And we wiped everything clean! Their side dishes were just alright though. Side cabbages on the hot pan was nicely made too. And their services were good as well. I will come back again!

  2. Our first experience to wrap up the last day of Chinese New Year.
The Korean owner was efficient enough to serve and sit us despite a no booking policy.
The restaurant is quite small with a very Korean feel that we get in similar Korean restaurants in Australia.
We ordered two hot pots, with 2 kimchi pancakes, hotpot chicken ramen with extra serving of noodle, and a good spread of side dishes. We feel the flavour are authentic Korean taste, and enjoyed the dinner overall.

The limited outdoor seatings along the entry serves as a good backup to those diners who didn’t get the indoor aircon area.

    Tips:
    – it gets surprisingly busy and popular so be sure to get there early (6pm) as they don’t take booking or you may be queuing up
    – side dishes are endless refill, a welcome culture practice in Korea so you can feel free to dine to your hearts content

  3. This little hidden gem is nestled in a slightly quieter area of Ara Damansara, just after Lotus. Due to the opening hours of this place, parking is not an issue as the surrounding area does not have any shops operating.

The simple, yet functional decor of the place belies the great food that’s served here. The menu offers the usual range of Korean fare, and I did not set my expectations too high when I first walked in. I was wrong.

The food is very good. Almost everything was above par of what you’d get from other Korean restaurants, and some I could even say were the best I’ve eaten. The pajeon (pancake) were superb. Bibimbap was also very good, and I also liked the spicy chicken and pork.

Prices are reasonable for Korean fare, but the testimony of how good this place is was the queue that formed just outside the restaurant by the time we left.

  4. Don’t allow booking and only walk in. Open at 6pm, come early to avoid queue for tables. Too bad they don’t serve beef. We ordered pork belly set and kimchi set. The meat already grilled and we can just eat it. Prefer self service to grill and cut the meat. Don’t worry about the smelly hair and clothes because they already grilled for you. Refillable side dishes – total 6 types. Kimchi tasted sweet and very little spicy. Prefer stronger taste kimchi and more spicy. Total bill around Rm300 for 6 pax. Personally find it slightly overrated by the food bloggers or reviewers.

  5. Hidden gem inside ara damansara

My 1st choice of Korean BBQ

Love their soy sauce marinated pork belly with back bone soup and not forget their steam egg very good .

It’s my monthly makan place atleast once

First and last come to this outlet cittamall. Feel regret but it’s ok will never come again to this outlet. I ordered goobne beef rice bowl but when the food is serve, the food presentation is awful and it’s not even same with the photo in the menu and the taste is terrible too. End up cant finished it and waste my money. For the chicken I still prefer kychonn thou n I give 5/10. That’s my review for the food. Hope the management can have a food testing with the chef so that the food can be improve. If not all the best to this outlet.

If you are craving for good chicken then this is NOT the place at all, better go to ikea , the price and portion here is crazily disproportionate, chicken is so small and waiting times is incredibly long, longer than waiting in govt office, no kidding I paid 60 ringgit to get 12 piece of small dxck shaped chicken

We had dinner here and ordered for the set that comes with a choice of two large side dishes, rice and miso soup. It was quite a filling meal and the roasted chicken and japchae were good. Only surprising thing is that they ran out of kimchi so we couldn’t order kimchi fried as one of the side dishes.

    Mediocre Korean food.

Although they have a special RM88 for 24 pieces chicken with side dishes. It wasn’t worth it.

The chicken was alright and only tasted okay.

The kimchi fried rice was okay. But was very disappointed with the kimchi pancake. Was so tasteless and felt more like batter rather than kimchi.

I’d like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Jun and Lipu at Goobne restaurant Citra Mall. Despite a full house, their service remained exceptional, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Their ability to maintain such high standards in a busy environment is truly commendable. Kudos to them for their hard work and dedication! ??️

There are many Sopoong branches all over the Klang Valley since their first one in The Starling Mall many years ago. This outlet in Citta Mall is probably one of the “prettiest”.

The dining area is split down the middle and separated by a row of faux plants. The seating space is comfortable and well separated. The decor colour is also very simple, with all white tables and chairs with a contrasting wall colour or mirror, giving the room a very light and airy feeling.

The menu is basically the same as in any other Sopoong, the basic Korean dishes are all here, the sets are also here. Prices are reasonable, while pushing a little close to the high side on certain items.

As I was there for a small family dinner, we managed to try out a few different items. I had the Bulgogi rice set, which had a bowl of fried rice with bulgogi beef along with a bowl of udon. We also ordered some fried chicken (two types) and a dakgalbi set as well.

Even though the place was almost empty, the food took just a little long to arrive I felt. Still, everything came out piping hot. I enjoyed my Bulgogi rice, the dakgalbi tasted OK, nothing exciting. The fried chicken, though, was another story.

I felt that the chicken nuggets were not quite fresh, as the meat was quite crumbly. Also, I could taste the flour coating, meaning that the chicken was fried long enough to achieve a crispy coating. It didn’t matter which flavour it was since the chicken is fried the same way before it is coated with the flavour of choice.

Oh, and please be a little more generous with the banchan, rather than making us have to order again and again.

Prices are as what you would expect to pay in a Korean restaurant, and my meal for three came up to around RM160.

All-in-all, the food wasn’t bad, but I think I can find better tasting ones elsewhere.

All foods are served hot (except the gimbap and chicken) . Took 10-15 minutes to get all the dishes . Staffs are also friendly and fast-responsive .

Affordable set meals. I had the gimbap and tteokpoki set, it was quite filling and a good combination. The side dish of kimchi was not too sour but I have seen more varieties of side dishes elsewhere. The highlight of the meal for me was the ala carte cheese balls tossed in glorious cheese powder that reminds me of my favorite super ring snack. Inside was oozing with chewy mild mozzarella.

I wonder why the Kimchi Bokkeumbap was served cold. It’s like a rice just mixed with kimchi in a bowl (tastes salty for my liking) with a fried egg that’s not even newly cooked and has been sitting for too long waiting to be served.

Toppoki sauce is okay, but the toppoki and the rice cake itself is meh, with the texture it needs a little bit more cooking.

Gimbap tastes good and the stuffing is generous as per their rice portioning.

I like the cucumber and macaroni in their banchan.

Paid total of 60.80RM since we bought the set meal.
