2 weeks agoQuick dinner at Twyst Pasta @twystpasta! ? While the pasta choice (penne or spaghetti) may be somewhat limited compared to similar takeaway build-your-own pasta concepts, there is a lot of “pasta”-bilities on the combination of toppings and unique sauce bases to choose from! Have heard pretty good reviews on the ????? ???? & we customised ours with sous vide egg, sauteed prawns, clams and cherry tomatoes! The pasta itself was alright, would have preferred a more al-dente texture but the laksa base won it for me! Most laksa-based pasta we have tried thus far tends to be creamier, but theirs comes with an intense savoury and lemak flavour like a dry laksa and is not “jelat”. Also tried their ???? ?????? with spaghetti, mushroom and poached chicken! The miso base was appetising and umami-packed with a slight hint of sweetness, which kept us happily slurping away! For a $10 option (if you stick to the pre-determined toppings), it’s a fuss-free meal with generous portions if you have the occasional pasta craving! . ? Order is via their touch screen whereby we can DIY our own pasta, and they do provide sides and drinks etc. The best part is there is no GST and service charge.Pasta was served pipping hot and flavourful, with additional garlic requested. Portion was generous considering the price and mussels were sweet and juicy in taste. Mid wing and fries were fried till crispy and chewy.
4 months agoWe ordered the tomato pomodoro with smoked duck and mushrooms with large truffle fries on the side, among other things.The food was decent. The serving size for the truffle fries was indeed large.
Unfortunately, the cutlery was disposable. The plastic fork had sharp parting lines which made twisting it for spaghetti uncomfortable.
4 months agoValue for money pasta located at Jem, huge portion and flavourful. Allow us to DIY our own pasta, and do offered sides and drinks as well.Well recommended and they are halal as well.
3 months agoI ordered Laska Olio and added Kale. It came piping hot! Including generous amount of ingredients 😀 Presentation and taste was not bad, but pasta as the main carbo was a little undercooked. If it was cooked a bit more, the meal would have been perfect!

4 months agoThe food here is really really good and worth the price. I ordered the tuna and avocado baked rice, as well as the teriyaki chicken baked rice. Both were delicious, with generous portions of tuna and meat. The rice was not dry as there was sufficient tomato based sauces inside the hot baked cheese on top of everything. There was also crispy gyoza skin sprinkled on top, which was a refreshing take on Japanese-western cuisine. As soon as we sat down the waiter was served us two cups of iced water and provided us a QR code to order from. It was very good service and convenient to order from. The atmosphere was also great, because the decoration and lighting was well done. The seating area for two people felt a little cramped as it was in the middle of the restaurant and felt a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a great place to visit and I recommend it for anyone seeking new food to try in Singapore.2 months agoFood quality is good, however, the quantity is too little for the price. The pizza is smaller than the spoon! Definitely unable to make one full! Only the truffle fries is worth it! Water is also free and refillable here.a month agoPizzakaya at JEM is located at Level 1. It is a relatively big place with at least or more than 12 tables of 4 (tables are movable to accommodate larger groups of people). Takoyaki pizza is highly recommended. The filling of the takoyaki is octopus and the takoyaki is freshly made. The pizza looked hand-tossed and quite aesthetically (non-conventional) pleasing. Don’t mind returning:)2 months agoDon’t know how this pizza place is Japanese… like the Japanese element isn’t japanesing.The pizza is so… soft??? It’s not firm. Like it’s hard to hold it without it being all flimsy.
But the taste is there lah. It’s affordable so it’s good. Would go there again!
6 months agoPizza taste wise are ok but the Unusual Pizza offerings: Gyudon Pizza was pretty soggy as a result of the gyudon sauce used, Takoyaki Pizza could have just been Takoyaki (Pizza base did not value-add). For both Pizzas, nothing really sticks to the Pizza bread base – gyodon was pretty saucy causing soggyness and takoyaki balls were just resting on the pizza without anything to secure it down. HOWEVER, the Salmon Baked rice was good. Will not recommend the Seafood Tomato Cream pasta as it is below average, did not taste much neither seafood, tomato nor cream. Salad is salad, their house variant includes pumpkin and mushroom. The dressing is balsamic.

The food was quite nice, but I ordered something out of my spice range ? Overall, the service is also good, I asked a few questions and the staff managed to answer them without hesitation 🙂

I reached Pasta Mania Jem about 12:30pm. I tried to scan the table bar code to order but no matter how many times I use Apple Pay it dun work. I went to the counter to order but no one is at the counter. The guy server in spectacles just keep telling me to wait while he keep serving food, packing food for Food Panda delivery etc and back to serving food to tables. Just cannot be bother to take my order.
Honestly, I would have left the restaurant if it’s not for my kid. I rang the counter bell and just got shouted to wait. There seems to be only 2 server. A lady and this rude guy. The lady was busy in front of the kitchen the whole time. Very disappointing service. Hated this place and really dun wan to come back if possible.
They have a online only PizzaMania apparently. This review is for the pizza.

It was that at 845 and they are rushing for cleaning and closing.
This pasta restaurant seems worth a try, but there are some areas that need improvement. The taste of the pasta is quite good, but the service could be enhanced to improve the overall customer experience. Service friendly and helpful..
