Nice hotel for Rm90/night10 months ago0The Hotel room card sensor for the electricity was faulty and water east working at all and we actually have to approach the front reception to enquire on the water and they are actually aware that the particular room water heater isn’t working and told us we can change to another room only when we asked abt it , so if we didn’t ask that means we have to live with the no hot water shower? Poor service.a year agoStaff is friendly. The floor is umm idk feels sticky ?? Toilet is okay but there’s mold on a few spots and door. Bed is comfortable but a bit smelly. Overall the hygiene needs to be upgrade. To repeat the hotel? NO.2 years agoIt just ok the promo price also great. However the front office staff or reception was very clumsy and not look professional at all. She also keep on ask to the worker “is this room ready this room that room” and the man also not confident. Then when i entered the room, the floor was really sticky. Its like soapy or floor cleaning agent was not truly wipe or mop with water. Thanks all. Price, ac, water supply good5 years agoIt’s a budget hotel. Money for value. Can’t say it’s anything great but at least the reception there operates 24 hours. The room itself is kinda like a tiny cubicle with hardly any walking space and there’s no toothbrushes or hairdryer available. Location wise is quite easy to find and there’s a mart which opens close to noon on the same row of shops. All in all, if you’re looking for a place to get some quick shuteye in the middle of the night and you’re not fussy about your environments, you can try this hotel out.

a month agoImprovements in interior design would help to refresh the hotel. No lift, quite tiring if your room upstairs and having kids along. Some deep cleaning also would be helpful esp the toilets. The food is average but the service is tiptop from the staffs ??a month agoSeeing all the safe reviews, I made a booking with this place via Agoda for 13Dec2023 to stay over for one night till 14Dec2023. Cuz I am going to KL from Larkin terminal on 14Dec morning bus.But I didn’t stayed. I had reach this place on the 13th, only to realise that the photos shown online different so much from irl. The place is smelly, run down. There is no lift at all, no problem, I am young I can climb the stairs. I climb up the stairs to reach a room that is dirty and dusty too. The bedsheet looked like it hasn’t been changed. The bar fridge looked stained and smelled funny. Not cold too.
The toilet in the room is small, mouldy, dirty. Even the water tap has green mould and rusty. The room air con doesn’t work, can’t be on at all. So I wanted to call the recep to get them to help me check, this was when I saw that there is no phone in the room at all. So I climb the stairs again, to go down to the recep and climb back up to my room again. Two technician came to my room after about 15mins, opened up the faulty air con, use screws and some tools.. finally air-con can be on, but only warm air.
Lots of lizards too.
I stayed till about 10pm on 13Dec night itself before I check out and go sleep over at another hotel instead near to ciq. I cannot even stand to stay for another few hours till 14Dec morning. This is how bad the place is. And then!! The placed that I moved to, the rates are even CHEAPER by sgd20 than hotel seri. I took a grabcar to Larkin in the morning on 14dec though. still cheaper than what I paid for hotel seri.
The only good thing about hotel seri would be the location. It’s right next to Larkin terminal. Walkable distance.
I do not recommend to come stay here, nono. I’ve stayed at so many places in msia, even just jb only, this place really doesn’t even meet up to my minimum expectations. I don’t know how did the good reviews came from. But my side, nono, Not Recommended.
5 months agoThe breakfast was nice. Truly Malaysia cousine. However, do not expect much from the room furniture setting since we only paid under rm200/night. Nevertheless, the management shall consider rejuvenation for its new look to be competitive with other hotel service or apartment studio service.a month agoYa Ragbi… this hotel is old (not a problem) but water tap problem leakage and deteriorate furniture. Breakfast somehow was fine, Nasi Lemak is the best but Mee Soto, Mee Goreng and Lontong adoiiiyai….Took this hotel coz the car parking is within its premise. Near to JB city.
a month agoplace is dirty & run-down. floor is not swept, air-con is barely functioning and furniture feels dusty & old. reception area has a weird smell too.

Great no frills hotel with very polite staff.
One of the best value hotel to stay at in JB , the place feels very clean and exceeds expectations.
Just 1min walk away to the popular fish head curry place and can walk to checkpoint too.
During peak period, I recommend going out to the main road to get to Grab transport if going elsewhere.
True to the reviews, the hotel is really no-frills. The rooms are spartan and there are a few cracks in the walls; the vent is a little brown. BUT.
You will feel safe and cosy here, plus the sheets are very, very clean.
I have sensitive skin so dust and dirt or other particles will make me itch and redden like crazy. Nothing like that at all. I had a great sleep from night 1 to night 3.
Bryan’s service was impeccable, very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to our request for a quieter room.
The hotel is walking distance from JB City Square, and the Jalan Tan Hiok Nee stretch, so you’re in good hands for accessibility. For those taking Grab to and fro, do note that the road has a lot of cars parked at the side, so your ride will take a little while to maneuver through.
What’s great is that the hotel is right next to a minimart. Water, snacks, toiletries… no worries. The hotel does provide a small bottle shower gel and a small bottle of shampoo gel, a disposable toothbrush and toothpaste tube, shower cap and handsoap. But that’s about it
Opposite and around are several eateries serving local delights (cash or Touch n Go/DuitNow only)… Good for takeaway or simply sitting there to eat.
I believe the hotel is usually quieter, but we happened to stay during the Deepvali celebrations, which meant loud fireworks going off just a building away, at 1am. I’m sure it is quieter otherwise.
Honestly I can’t complain. It’s safe and clean, plus the bed is so soft. The service staff are so attentive too
I had three nights here. I arrived quite late from Singapore, so getting a friendly welcome from the night manager was very welcome. The bed was deliciously soft, air con kept me cool and the bathroom was great. I liked that by going across the street, I could have dinner at nearly midnight, and that the hotel was in the middle of downtown JB. Just a short walk away was the big JB Town Square Mall and access to JB Sentral, bus station and the CIQ facility.
On my first night and in the mornings, the internet worked fine. On the other nights, when I most needed it, it didn’t work at all – the hotel log in system refused access.
Room no soundproof, hear people voice from other room and corrider.
Bathroom shower not working.
Bed sheets are not clean and there’s still hair on the floor.
Although we stayed Premier room, feel like wasted.
Room very run down, small as shown in photo, dusty, feel like last clean was quite sometime ago, no soundproof.
Not recommended.
