3 weeks agoGreat location just round the corner from the train station. Each pod has a light, mirror, shelf, charging options, aircon fan which you can adjust as needed and a blind for ultimate privacy (for a dorm room). They offer free toast for breakfast 6-11 too. The toilets and showers were kept clean and had shower gel provided but were rather hot and stuffy! Would definitely stay again if back in Singaporea week agoThe most incredible capsule pod experience, up to Japan’s standards… The room was pleasantly cold. I slept very well. The only minor downside is that you must carry heavy luggage up the stairs… Other than that the experience with check in, comfortability, capsule was an undeniable 10/10a month agoEnjoyed my stay here as a first-timer in Singapore. The rooms and bathrooms are clean but, I think they should put fans or add more vents in the bathrooms to keep the floor dry. The staff are friendly, there’s also a cat downstairs near the vending machine. You can interact with her, she’s chubby and friendly.2 months agoI’ve explored multiple pods hostels in Singapore. This was the best overall. It is located in the most convenient place. Both bus and MRT stations are literally few foot steps away. There are a lot of food options nearby. The service provided the hostel is top notch… free laundry, Wi-Fi, good air ventilation and air conditioning, well maintained washrooms, neat and clean common area with good accessibility. Most importantly, there’s always some free food and drinks (tea/coffee) available for self service if you are hungry. There is also a backyard to just sit on a chair and relax at night far away from the city crowd. I’d definitely recommend this place for solo travellers. I’ll visit this place whenever I’m visiting Singapore.5 months agoWouldn’t recommend female solo travelers stay at this place.Stayed at the room in the ground floor 1 night last October. Most of the people in my room didn’t look like travelers or backpackers at all, more like locals or people who lived in Singapore and stayed at this hostel for long term. There were at least 10 people in my room. The smell was a bit strong, very hard to fall asleep due to the noises (snoring, coughing, etc.)
The staff were nice, the location was alright, but the experience was not delightful at all.
I’ve had a lot of experiences staying at different hostels in Europe and Japan. This was my first time didn’t feel safe and even considered to find another hostel after checking in.
I wondered why there were so many positive reviews…

4 months agoExcellent rooms, with great service staff. Location looks and feels comfortable, rooms are a little small, but reasonably so. Only issue is at night, some loud music might be audible from the rooms, but that’s to be expected anyway due to the location. Many eateries around the area too.4 months agoCons: – they should start calling this a Hostel asap, not a hotel. – bunk beds are too squeaky, you can track even the slightest movement of anyone in your room. – the shower head is right above the toilet seat, never seen this before in my whole life. – high probability of you intentionally/unintentionally touching your roommate’s feet. – the locker is 100% hackable, only a 1 time use: even the staff knows about it.Pros: – the cleaning staff does a good job. – its right next to grocery stores, bus stop, and MRT. – the wi-fi is good, no issues there.
5 months agoErstwhile Hotel Ascendre, One of the most comfortable rooms, spic and span + well equipped toilets, plus good service right in the heart of Geylang. The rooms have been renovated in a cost effective manner from the previous ownership. But overall the services and attentiveness of the staff members, like Amit or Hao, was exceptional. Had a great time, as I stayed there for 3 nights. The common space was fairly equipped, so even if you have food leftovers you can put it in. The location is very easy to find and near around one of the best eateries Singapore has to offer. For the cost it comes at, it is very cheap and affordable as per SG standard. No hidden charges, no frills and jargon, so the check-in and check out was equally fast and efficient. Kudos to the staff members for being really chilled, yet on toes to help the guests.3 months agoI mistakenly reserved female room and canceled the booking immediately after 3 minuites. I requested refund by E-mail three times, but no response and the payment has been done..5 months agoRoom is clean and comfortable, wc in room, the price is cheap, just SGD 45/night

Decent location that is near the airport, but the walls are too thin and u can hear anything from the outside. Bare min staffing too but you are paying the bare minimum so yeah. The rooms are cool tho it’s all very small so watch out if you have lots of luggage
The hotel is comfortable, safe and there are many food choices nearby (Halal or Non Halal). The officers are friendly. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. Close to public transportation access (bus & MRT). Only one drawback, it takes effort to transport suitcases to the 2nd floor where the hotel is located via the stairs. It doesn’t matter if your suitcase is not a big suitcase.
Very small room and a bit noisy. Basic items available like water, shampoo, and conditioner. Shower and toilet together. Close to bus stop and MRT and hawker stall across the St. Wifi didn’t work on my mobile but it worked on my laptop
The hotel is near the airport so it’s far from the city center. The room is bigger than I thought and clean. The staff is helpful and kind. Recommended!
This hotel is close to the airport in a residential neighborhood. It’s a short taxi ride. There are quite a few places to eat all within walking distance. It’s no frills but the staff is great. They are helpful and accommodating
