11 months agoMy last trip to the zoo was 13 years ago plus minus 1 year.. and boy.. how the zoo has improved. Tickets cost more nowadays. At RM45 for Malaysian adults. But I enjoyed every minute of my time at the zoo. The animals look so healthy and there have been many new additions. Loved my recent experience..may come again soon..9 months agoZoo was awesome and you have enough to spend a whole day there. Getting in was a challenge as the queue was very long despite booking tickets online. Had to wait more than 1 hr just to get the tickets to wrap around the wrists.4 months agoIt’s good to visit, support the animals. 10 months agoApe is fascinated animal. There are most intelligent among the animal kingdom. I recently visited the Zoo Negara Ape Centre in Ampang and was blown away by the incredible exhibits and knowledgeable staff. The apes were well-taken care of, happy and healthy. I loved watching them swing from tree to tree, interact with each other, and play with their toys. The centre is also incredibly clean and well-maintained.The staff were friendly and answered all of my questions with detailed information about the apes and their behaviors. They even offered educational programs for those who want to learn more about the apes, their conservation efforts, and how to protect them.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Zoo Negara Ape Centre for anyone who loves animals or wants to learn more about them. It’s an unforgettable experience that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for these amazing creatures.

Attended with friendly and proactive staff, get first experience seeing how the different ape species interact with each other, living in their habitat, and many more. KL Zoo is excellent place to enjoy with kids. We had a great time. Please make sure to carry your umbrella otherwise you have to take it on rent. We used cart as well but I didn’t find it useful. You can easily cover the zoo by foot rather than the price you are paying for the cart. There are lot of kids friendly food options available inside. You can easily spend 3-4 hours inside.
It’s a wonderful experience to visit, the animals seems well taken care of. It was better than expected but there are actually much room to be improved. The penguin and aquarium are on the down side, hope that the authorities would put more effort to improve the lighting and the water conditions. Surrounding facilities such as toilets also need to be more clean and appealing for visitors.

Souvenirs shop need to upgrade shirts printing and other stuff to generate more income.
Would suggest a nice food truck at the parking lot for heavier food options—- for tired parents and cranky children
Visited a couple of times with family and friends. its a nice place to visit and there is a lots of variety of animals in the zoo.
Our favourite is definitely the panda ?
The only downside it can be really warm during the afternoon.

Very well organized park, clean and enough nature to interact with the animals. The trees give cool breeze and nice shade so no worries if you cannot stand the heat. They have food options and sanitary facilities through out the park. Recommend buying ticket in advance to save your time lining up. Taking a grab to here is much more convenient with a decent price.
