Non-stop lane malfunctions and pin-setting errors aside, the male staff/receptionist on duty (3rd Aug ‘23) is one of the WORST we’ve ever encountered.
We aren’t people who leave negative reviews at the slightest issue, but his cocky, snarky and arrogant attitude is definitely not a one-off and deserves special recognition. It seems politeness isn’t always reciprocated.
Just to share A FEW of his service accolades:
Well done for raising your voice for no reason when we stated our shoes sizes after you simply asked “shoes?” You must have thought we were mind-readers who knew that you were referring to the number of people who required shoes.
Well done for getting mad and physically shoving me away from the shoe counter, after directing us there without any clear instructions.
Well done for the condescending mannerism when we asked about a time-extension for our lane after encountering error after error.
Reservations are not a thing here, and if the place is kind of full you’ll be asked to leave your number and the number of people who want to bowl on a waiting list. My friend and I dropped by yesterday around 6pm+ and waited for around 40 minutes. There were cozy sofas to lounge on while you wait tho. On a Friday night for 2 pax, it costs $38 for an hour of bowling. The staff were very friendly + informative and updated us accordingly – giving us a call when a lane was available. They were also patient and accommodating when we were getting our sizings for bowling shoes. It was a lovely experience even though my friend and I had little bowling experience, but do take note that the bowling ball “dispenser” or “rack” might be shared with another lane so to avoid disputes communicate with the people from the other lane well in case you end up using one of their personal bowling balls or bowling balls that they personally retrieved. Great place to play and have fun with family or friends. Great atmosphere. My kids love it. Will surely come back again.
Lovely atmosphere. Dark room with only the alleys lit and a lot of lanes so there is always space available.
Very affordable, especially with peers to split the bill. Just remember to bring a pair of socks!
Great experience at sonic bowl safra punggol. Came twice (one with 5 pax and one with 3 pax). It’s better and more worthwhile to rent lanes per hour.
If come early at 11am opening lanes are usually available (unless there is event). Quick and friendly service by the staff working on 27 Dec.
