  Wonderful beach! This is the best one until now! Clear water, beautiful view! We took the path from the south of surin beach…15 minutes by walking. It’s not a difficult path if you are in good health and it is really worth the view! We personally decided to put on shoes for walking. A lot of people went by flip flop or also barefoot but for me…life is a gift…why take a risk if it’s not necessary? Near the beach there is a restaurant….the food is really good and the people that work there are really nice! Today there was an old lady preparing juices and smoothies…she was so cute! And her mango juice was the best I had on this holiday! There are umbrellas and beach loungers…100bath for loungers. Things I didn’t like: 1) today some guys arrived and put on loud music all day….if you want to listen to music take your earbuds with you 2) some guys used and destroyed an umbrella and they didn’t pay anything for the damage 3) tourists drinking and leaving their garbage there The problem obviously is not the beach…it is the human being….do a favour to everyone…if you go somewhere to have a holiday, learn how to behave beforehand.

  Incredible. Highly recommend, it’s accessible through boat (I don’t know about other beaches, but one is at Surin beach) or through a trail to the very left of Surin beach when facing the ocean. It’s nice, quiet, the trail is AMAZING. It’s picturesque. You pass a little cute cafe overlooking the bay before arriving at the beach. There’s not many people and some lounge chairs available for rent. Amazing for snorkeling. Jungle paradise.

  Visited this beach twice during my stay in Thailand. It’s not a challenging walk from Surin beach if you are in relatively good shape. The hardest part is the beginning of the walk, which requires you to climb over some rocks. Also keep in mind that the tide can change and the rocks may be underwater when you head back (which was the case for us on one of our excursions. Still manageable, but the rocks are a bit more slippery if you don’t have good footing or waterproof shoes). Takes about 15 minutes to get to Haad Laem Sing, but once you arrive, you have a more secluded beach with great views. Some good pockets for snorkelling. There is one restaurant that services the beach and there are a few beach chairs/umbrellas to rent for a low price. There is also a boat that will take you from Surin beach to Haad Laem Sing, or vice versa, for a fee. It’s a small boat, so there may be a short wait to get back to Surin beach towards the end of the day. The beach is expansive, you can easily find a spot away from others and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. A nice escape from some of the busier beaches in Phuket.

  One of our highlights in phuket. The hike to the beach from surin beach was adventurous ? There were just a few people on the beach and by sunset we were about 6 remaining.

  The sunset was beautiful and we had an amazing experience on our honeymoon. We will definitely return.

  Nice private beach but a lot of plastic on the beach and the sea is a bit too choppy for swimming the day we went. Unfortunately the restaurant on the beach seems abandoned and has a large “for rent, thank you” sign so bring your own drinks.

  Fantastic beach, kept very clean, life guards on duty and multiple trash cans for easy disposing of waste.

  The sand is very fine with real clean water, easily spend the entire day.

  They di have surf festivals and other live events some times do ask.

  Phuket beaches, in my opinion, are filthy, with a lot of trash on the beach and in the ocean. This Kata beach is one of those, but tourists continue to enjoy it. This beach is great for surfing, but be aware of the trash drifting around. Sunset is good here. The neighborhood is convenient with night market and food market on the main street, which is full of retailers, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants, it’s ideal for people who enjoy animation and live music.

  Kata beach is very good for family tour especially with children ’cause the beach here is more peaceful, also the area is not that big for wondering about. The night market&street is a good choice for dinner and it got a lot of choices.

  Great little beach with not much going. The sand bar is quite stretching so people who aren’t tall will be able to go out quite far. You will see schools of fish and crabs swimming around. Lovely fine soft sand to walk on. Best time to visit is post 3pm after the hot sun.

  Water is roughly 28c so very warm.

  Beach beds and umbrellas for rent at 200 Baht.

  Some hawkers selling you shirts, trinkets, and drinks will roam the sands.

  Bags are somewhat safe just keep an eye out for them and buy a dive bag if you want to keep them waterproof too.

  Just be prepared for lots of single use plastics floating on the water and on the beach. Water is a bit mirky as well. Knocking a star off for this.
