Delightful, fresh, friendly place! Great chocolate cake 🙂 the egg coffee was a signature version and I swear I was drinking delicious hot custard on top of my espresso, rather than purely hot egg whites — it was fantastic and a great new take (for me) on egg coffee. Four stories and open windows mean you get unencumbered views of the lake, the wild traffic, and all the shops below. Have gone there several times while staying in old market Hanoi — you can tell how much pride they take in themselves, fast service, and delicious food and drink. Locals and tourists abound. Loved it, 100% recommend!

Such a beautiful cafe with amazing notes to be taken in whilst drinking your coffee or having food. The pain au choc was amazing, there’s like 4-5 floors I think and each one of them are pretty spacious. 10/10 recommend

A really fun 3-level café that is completely covered in sticky notes. Each table has pens and notes that are heart-shaped. There are red hearts, green & yellow hearts, rainbow hearts, etc. There is also a blank note with a floral border.

The coffee and baked items are good. My London fog was really quite tasty, and the chocolate croissant was flaky and crispy, with a rich center.

You’re required to make a purchase before entering, which is reasonable since it’s a popular place and they want to ensure random people aren’t taking up seating.

My first ever egg coffee for a non coffee drinker. It was yes, like a creme brulee at the top, and then like a coffee at the bottom and then like a low strength coffee after the mix.

I am not a coffee drinker so I cannot really comment on the actual coffee taste or flavor.

But it was something to experience in this iconic cafe in Hanoi.

Surroundings are pretty cool! Now to post my note.

Highly recommend. Great spot to take the family! Our boys loved writing notes and plastering them on the wall. They had a ball reading the walls too. Coffee and snacks are great too!

Cozy and quiet place to try the famous egg coffee in Hanoi! Think this is one of the best egg coffees I’ve tried in Vietnam! I believe this place is pretty popular and can become quite busy. I visited at around 6pm and it was perfect. They have many other drinks on the menu as well. Definitely recommend a stop in 🙂

Egg coffee is nice and creamy. There is a layer of sweet eggy creamed on top of a layer of coffee. The coffee art is also very cute. The atmosphere has a rustic old school vibe and the staff are friendly. There were some smokers when we visited which did mean we didn’t stay as long as we would have wanted to.

This cafe is very popular with the locals and tourists alike. I feel like this is a polarising place for tourists as on one hand it has a very authentic feel but on the other its just a dilapidated old second floor shack. Keep in mind this place is meant to serve good coffee fast for the locals so temper expectations. We just ordered to-go since they didn’t serve much breakfast options and the place is full of smokers. Their Hanoi egg coffee is great by the way!

Quaint coffee place that’s overwhelmingly popular. Cafe Dinh is somewhat secluded, with a need to walk through a narrow passageway before reaching a flight of stairs. It seems hidden, but it’s popularity and throngs of vacationers give its location away.

The egg coffee was just so good. Creamy, thick and strong. It has strong flavours, like most Vietnamese coffee, but its richness from the whipped egg elevates the taste. The strength of the coffee feels like a strong punch to the face, not the painful kind, but one that hits like a large rock and suddenly all sense wake up. It is sobering.

Would recommend to give the egg coffee a try if you’re in the area. A must.

Very unique experience from the entrance. Climbing the staircase made you feeling if you have reached the wrong place. Nobody will notice if it is not told.

Tastes of egg coffee and coffee with milk were intense. Especially the coffee was really strong.

Inside the restaurant was authentic feel. Quite crowded. Many tour groups came.
