La Vida’s accomodation is very on point. Although they’re not beach front, public beach is just 2 minutes away. What I love about the place is its serenity and harmony. Place is quiet, perfect for book reading, relaxation and self reflection. Ninio’s artwork are inspiring. The attention to detail on each room and facility is evident. I love how we can cook our own food and be responsible with our own dishes. Place is near town proper so we’ve done laundry and grocery there. Owners are accomodating and friendly.

Room was okay but the owner was rude. The price of water was very expensive (80 php for a liter of water ). Its hard to get a ride going to town especially around 7pm. Also, their recommended tour guide/service is almost twice as expensive than those who offers their services online

A Small Hostel With A Big Heart I posted many positve reviews on some of our travels and experiences with different hotels, food, places, and experiences but I seldom write a review about hostels and traveller’s inn but this one is worth my 10 minutes time to write about. La Vida Hostel located in the beautiful Island Garden City of Samal is the place to be when you’re traveling on a budget but wants a homey and personalized service. The place offers a relaxing alternative for travellers because evrything in this place is about passion. The rooms are not 5 star if you’re looking for luxury but it’s very clean and well mentained. The toilet is decent and dry with hot shower which is very essential after a tiring day.

    • The Z Hostel: Located in Makati, the financial district of Manila, The Z Hostel caters to both business and leisure travelers. Sey affordable and clean. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep. No way to eat inside . No common kitchen. But that’s what makes the place clean. Also safe parking area is provided.

nice. open 24hrs The room is clean and smells good. The staff are accommodating. I like how they value their customers. It’s also close to the airport. Just one ride to commute. Accessible and convenient. However, their internet is slow.

The price is super cheap, so we didn’t expect much. But for the price it was a pretty good deal. The overnight stay for 2 was cheaper than staying elsewhere in a dorm. The beds are actually in a dorm type but you get some privacy with the separated capsules. You have the options for a space for 1 or 2 people. We were pleasantly surprised that it was not very noisy at all like what I have experienced in other hostel dorms before and I was able to get in some good sleep. Underneath the cabin there is also a personal shelf with a lock provided where you can store your valuables. We arrived around midnight and checking in late was not an issue at all. We only stayed for one night and we were looking for a cheap place to stay and this perfectly fit our needs. If I’m in the same situation again I’ll definitely come back. For a longer stay I’d probably look for a different place though

When you’re out and about most of the day and only need a room/bed to sleep/rest, the Napsule Suites is a good choice for budget travellers. It is ideally located with malls & transportation nearby, there’s secure parking space, it is quiet, the bed is adequate and the staff are nice. One star less because the communal shower needs improvement.
