  I had trouble memorizing the songs, but listening to them almost everyday really helped me understand and memorize them. I learnt how to have a stronger false voice, and to try and project so that i don’t sound airy. I also learnt how to control my breathing better as in some of the songs i sang, I had to hold the note for longer than I could usually do. but with practice I eventually got there.

  Teacher marieta is a very good teacher and she is a very easy person to talk to therefore it was easier for me to understand what she was trying to teach me while singing

  Don’t give up!! learning how to sing is a journey, and eventually you’ll get there. it may be hard at times but trust me, you will make it 😉

  Initially, I wasn’t able to read notes properly, but Ms Marieta taught me techniques on how to read notes on the base and treble clef eg by using acronyms such as FACE , blocks & phrases such as Every good boy etc now I’m able to sight read pieces. I learnt how to be more organised with my time and also disciplined as I had to allocate time out of my busy schedule to practice piano. However, this wasn’t a chore for me, more of something I was looked forward to. I also learnt how to interpret pieces in my own way by adding emotion and expression.

  Other benefits include being able to bond with other people through having piano as a common interest (also a great conversation starter!), as well as being able to play some of my favourite classics pieces feels accomplishing.

  The skills I’ve learnt from ms Marieta has allowed me to fully enjoy piano. Not only is she an excellent teacher, Ms Marieta also gives really good advice, and is someone I can trust.

  I would say go for it. Although it might be overwhelming at first, as you’ll start off not knowing how to read or count notes properly, with dedication and persistence you’ll be able to play fluently, and see playing the piano as a form of relaxation.

  I am a Tenor Bassy kind of voice, I struggle a lot hitting some higher note but with Ms Marieta techniques I am able to hit some of the high notes. I actually learned a lot, i learned Spotting (which is new to me) I learned that each song has different ways for breathing techniques.

  Expressions, I learned that with the right tone of expression in every line makes your singing sound amazing!

  Ms Marieta is so humble and i really like being around her, she jokes around with me and she’s like a big sister figure to me.

  Everyone can sing but not all of us can sing skilfully, If you have talent in singing and would like to pursue your dreams, best suggest is you need to study all the basics and explore more in singing.

  One of the problems that I encounter in studying piano is finding some parts of the pieces I learn difficult to play. When that happens, I usually attempt to play the difficult section one note at a time while trying to figure out the way it’s supposed to be played and somehow figure out the right way to play the section. Another problem that I also encounter the most is not having much time to practice often since I have a busy schedule (school, tuition, and other activities). To overcome this problem, I tend to plan my week and select the days that I’m able to use up most my free time of that day to practice so I will be able to not only practice almost daily but I can also catch up with my studies.

  Generally, I learned the examination pieces, scales and exercises that I’m supposed to play for the piano exams. Not only that, I also learned some classical pieces by some of the famous musical prodigies such as Beethoven, Mozart, etc.

  Playing the piano benefited me in many ways. Playing the piano helped me to improve my focus and concentration while playing the piano, attending classes in school, or even studying alone at home. Moreover, doing so can also improve my mental health by relieving stress as playing the piano is also a form of therapy.

  As a student of Mrs Marieta, we have a positive teacher-student relationship. Mrs Marieta has been my piano teacher since I was almost 7 years old, she’s the teacher who taught me a lot about piano since the beginning of my journey in learning the piano. I’m very grateful for being Mrs Marieta’s student as I’ve learnt a lot of musical knowledge from her.

  What I want to say to those who are interested in learning how to play the piano is that you can do it and you will make it no matter how stressful the process is, the outcome will be worth the experience as you learn.

  When I first got into singing, I had my fair share of struggles. One biggie was nailing those tempo. I tackled it by counting to the beat to get a feel for it. And let’s not forget the whole breath control thing..

  In my singing classes, I picked up some seriously useful tricks for keeping my breath in check and making the most of my vocal.. Learning about the ins and outs of vocal anatomy was a game-changer. It really upped my singing game and let me put more emotion into my performances.

  Singing is a lot more than just hitting the right notes or belting high notes. It’s like a stress-busting, mind engaging therapy session. Plus, singing with Ms Marieta? That’s like a plus.

  Now, about Ms Marieta? She’s amazing. We’ve got this awesome bond built on respect and gratitude. Her teaching style is spot-on and she’s been a rockstar at guiding me through this Bintang Search singing journey all the way to the finals. Her feedback and pep talks have made a world of difference.

  For anyone looking to dive into singing, here’s my two cents: Embrace the journey. You’ll hit some bumps, but each one is a chance to level up.   This is located in level 1, Regent Square Kiulap. The atmosphere is quite dark but romantic jazz vibe. This place offer indoor and outdoor seating.

  The service is decent and the staff is friendly. The food here is known for its western cuisine and which I ordered was BBQ beef ribs with fries. The meat is tender and juicy.

  The food choices are various and it’s worth the price.

  Loved the atmosphere and service. The food never disappoints. Everything was tasty and well prepared. I just think that some of the items are priced too high Prawns and mushrooms (approx 5 pieces) is priced at $12. It was very tasty, but too expensive. The fish and chips is a few dollars more and the portion is huge. The fries were excellent.

  Dropped down to 2 ⭐️… food arrived without the cutlery… we have to wave them down to remind them. Took them a good 5 minutes to bring over the cutlery. Typical, when business is good, they cannot cope with the demand and customers’ expectations – quality of service suffers.
