a month agoExcellent place to visit. If you’re looking for trendy crowds and multiple street stalls, this is the place to be. Market opens after 6pm. Just bring along an umbrella and thin plastic rain coat for the sudden heavy showers during December period.”winter season” Food stalls are very cheap and foods are freshly prepared.a month agoDuring the weekend nights, Jonker Street Night Market comes alive with a bustling market atmosphere. The market is a must-visit for those looking to experience the rich culture, delicious food, and vibrant atmosphere of Melaka. It’s a great place to immerse oneself in the local scene and enjoy the historical surroundings.a month agoLove the atmosphere here at night. There are beca rides for 25 ringgit, scooters and local hawkers that sell food and drinks. You should check out the coconut ball stall where he cuts the coconut meat from the coconut with its water still inside of the coconut meat. Very cool.
in the last weekPrice: The food price was standard as it is tourist attraction place. U need to search and compare other shop to get cheaper price.Jelly ball (RM8), grill stick (3-RM12), tanghulu strawberry (RM18), marshmallow (RM4), Thai tea (RM5), Dragon beard (RM10), Frozen yogurt cube (6-RM10), popcorn (big-RM16).
There’s also lot of shop selling cute and heritage stuff. Ask for price before buying. Keychain (3-RM10), Card (RM2), Bubblegum (RM1).
Crowd: Noise is tolerable. Not so many people during friday night. bring stroller for kids because they will get tired walking halfway. beware of pickpocket.
Facilities: No toilet on the street. ask for small shop nearby to use their toilet. Wheelchair friendly. There several spot between shop to stop by and eat. A lot of garbage bin provided along the street. so don’t litter.
Service: Some pop up store accept qr pay. most of them use cash. fast service from seller. seller trying to caught people attention by calling.
a week agoDespite being very “tourist trap-ish”, I always enjoy dropping by Jonker Market whenever I’m in Melaka. The vibes are electrifying and there’s so much to see, touch and try. Sure the prices are ridiculous, as with any tourist trap, but it’s still a fun experience. Here I would recommend having the freshly made Kueh, Coconut Water, fruit juice and some other sweet delicacies to satisfy your craving.
