He has helped me with everything!! Shopping, visas, drivers license, buying, selling, maintaining, fixing motorcycle, introducing me to interesting people…my experience here in Cambodia would not be anything close to what it has been if it were not for my friend Chhom.
He takes his work very seriously, he is always early and always prepared. Very very communicative. He really seems to enjoy his role as fixer. He will think ahead, anticipate any obstacles and prepare to overcome them.
Although he clearly prefers listening to talking, if you ask him about his life, he will answer honestly. He has had some life!! I find his story fascinating. He has helped me to have an insight into Khmer culture and Cambodian history that I would not otherwise have.
I find great comfort in knowing that I have a friend like that who knows the culture and the language who can help me out if I am in trouble. Such a good dude!
Very dry sense of humor, good sport and amazing cook! Such a likeable, kind, smart, interesting guy.
