Discover the Biggest Museum in Cebu City

I recommend paying a visit to this museum if you’re interested in exploring your Cebuano identity, or if your not a Cebuano then you will gain insights into our culture and how Cebu became the Cebu we know so much today! I suggest having a student ID with you to avail of a discounted entrance fee. That’s all, thank you.

We enjoyed our visit to the Museo Sugbo since it had very rich display of Cebu’s amazing history. It gave us more reasons to appreciate Cebu’s rich culture. The displays are well chosen and one thing that we are also thankful for was for the FREE guided tour that was given to us by one of the establishment’s volunteer. Thank you so much and more power, Museo Sugbo.

Museo de Sugbu was a pleasant surprise!

I got to appreciate Cebu more because of how simple its history was presented.

All galleries are airconditioned.

Entrance P50 Senior P25

Toilets available, but locks per cubicle are broken. No toilet paper and tissue.

Spacious courtyard.

The museum itself is very old and contains artifacts free dating the 1600s in the 1700s the way everything inside the museum is as well-kept the people there care for the items as there is just so much love and appreciation for the Filipino culture that I have been introduced. Thanks to this museum, all the way from Ferdinand Magellan to current day the guides were able to talk to me even in English because I did not know cebuano or Tagalog and I answered all my questions. The museum itself is very clean and it’s not hard to navigate through the whole entire couple of buildings and a lot of the things there you will see surprise you. Couldn’t be more happier with a place to choose to visit in Cebu.
