Plenty to see here, and take in! From caveman to Buddhism, the story of Lanna Kingdom and Chiang Mai is told here, as with most museums, there is too much to digest all at once I was particularly struck by the similarities between European early man, and Asian early man, both using very similar stone tools etc, and the history of the Lanna kings backed up by a video was worth seeing. And loads of Buddhist artifacts some of the votive tablets are really tiny 100 baht admission, definitely not overcrowded, and cool on a warm day

Interesting to learn more about Thai history and culture. Although small, by international standards, the museum contains a lot of good quality exhibits with both Thai language and English descriptions. We enjoyed the visit here.

Really interesting stop for information about Lanna life in the region. Easy to follow route round the museum, signs in Thai and English.

Nicely done exhibition that takes you 40-45 minutes to see and read it all. The descriptions in English are good, but the collection is rather small.

90 bht entry. Great museum with interesting things over two floors. The weaving section upstairs is particularly nice. Friendly and helpful staff who spoke English.

Stopped by today. Price is 90 baht for foreigners, 20 baht for Thai. Fun way to spend 30-45 minutes when the sun is too hot.
