4 months agoFinally, during 30 years, despite repeated visits to the city of Jakarta, I achieved my dream of going to this wonderful museum, through which the most important features of the history of the wonderful city of Jakarta are highlighted. I enjoyed very much what was inside this museum, and I will repeat the visit at another time to take more pictures.4 months agoMuseum Sejarah Jakarta (Jakarta History Museum) is one of historic places that you should visit in Jakarta. They provide stories and informations about history of Jakarta with historical stuffs to support the informations to the viewers. The informations about Jakarta’s history is separated into several rooms with different themes and informations. This place is recommended for family vacations, study trip, and history enthusiasts. However, I believe the management of the museum could improve this museum better by providing more facilities and informations for visitor. The place is accessable by using TransJakarta bus Koridor 1 ( Blok M – Jakarta Kota) or by train (KRL Commuter Line destination Jakarta Kota).
a month agoMost of the museum is translated in English, but it’s hard to figure out how to move through it. It’s not necessarily organized historically. The building itself is from the 1700s so it’s worth seeing regardless. It’s only a 10k entry. Prepare to be hot and sticky as you walk through, and to maybe not learn as much about history as you’d like. But it’s a nice way to spend a couple hours, and VERY worth coming to the old town area of Jakarta.5 months agoToo hot and crowded on the weekend. They didn’t even turn on the fan inside.a month agoClean n tidy but the weather is hot

a month agoLoving Museum Macan with its cleanliness and well organized art works. Proud of the Museum to be able to maintain its quality of service. When we went there, it was the art work of Voice Against Reasons and it is just right to visit and learn from the artists about their art who speak a lot of beauty and voices. We can’t wait to visit it again next year! (With different artists and art work)3 weeks agoreally empty and is full with beautiful art. would recommend reserving and paying online before coming. would also like to highlight the way they account children with an easier explanation and kids area. there is also a cafe so that you can get some coffee after going to the exhibition.4 months agoBraced myself through peak hour traffic (and haze) on a bike just to get here an hour before closing — a decision completely worthwhile.Provocatively curated, each piece tells a compelling story from scandals that shook the world to social and individual expressions close to heart. I was thoroughly impressed.
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara speaks to the mind and the heart. Highly recommended.
4 months agofirst time visiting instalation art museum, museum date with my bestie hahah. impressed with the instalation art and with the story behind it. I like it all but the thinks that bother me is the staff is just stand there sometimes distract when we wanna take a pict or video, also no clear guideline do and dont inside, like we not allowed to sit or touch or leaning so we when we aleeady pose suddenly the staff come and ask us to just stand there ?5 months agoBeautiful museum with so many captivating exhibits! I love how this museum is kid-friendly too! They have descriptions of the art work that are thought provoking even for young children. The gift store showcases local artists and there is a yummy coffee shop inside. Another beautiful touch is how they have a creation zone, inspired by the exhibits (meaning it changes from time to time!).
The museum was not crowded even when I visited during the weekend. I recommend buying tickets online!
