The basilica’s stunning architecture and rich history make it a must-see for anyone visiting Cebu. The intricate details of the church’s design, paired with the beautiful religious artworks, left me in awe. The reverence and devotion shown by the local community and visitors alike further added to the spiritual atmosphere.

The highlight of my visit was witnessing the Santo NiƱo, or Holy Child of Cebu, a powerful symbol of faith and devotion for the Filipino people. The energy and emotion in the air during the religious ceremonies were palpable, and it was a moving experience that I will never forget.

The Minor Basilica of the Holy Child of Cebu is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the religious and cultural heritage of the Philippines. Whether you are a devout believer or simply appreciate sacred places, this basilica is a place of profound significance that will leave a lasting impression on your heart and soul. I am grateful for the opportunity to have visited and hope to return one day.

This historical church is a perfect spot for families and tourists to worship; it’s within walking distance of colon street and other tourist attractions like the plaza, national museum, and Magellan’s Cross. There’s also a candle area and a water fountain next to the church. Outside the basilica, there are many vendors selling food and candles.

I am not a religious person so went purely as a tourist. A nice church and also very historic. Worth visiting if you are in Cebu. Gets busy on a Saturday so if you are visiting go in the weekday if possible. The area around the church is also interesting, a bit on the gritty side but a contrast to the modern areas of the city.
