Love that OhmSantih hold small classes so that teachers are able to work in more detail with individual students.

Yoga without air con can be surprisingly good! You’ve got to try it in order to believe it! ?

I suffered a back injury after a fall and was struggling to find a lasting solution. TCM and massage provided some temporary relief. That was when a friend introduced me to yoga therapy at Ohm Santih under Teacher War War.

The one-on-one sessions were targeted and accessible, even for someone with no background in yoga. Teacher War War focused on my specific needs, and was patient in explaining the rationale and benefits behind the moves and poses.

With each lesson, I noticed improvements in flexibility and strength. My backache was managed, and I also felt my posture and joint mobility improve. The therapy class also provided an introduction and foundation for me to continue with yoga in a small group setting thereafter. Definitely recommended!

In Singapore, there are several alternatives to traditional yoga studios that have gained popularity among fitness enthusiasts. These alternatives provide unique approaches to achieving physical and mental wellness.

1. Aerial Yoga Studios

Aerial yoga studios use specially designed hammocks or silk fabric to support practitioners as they perform yoga postures. This form of yoga combines traditional yoga poses with elements of aerial acrobatics, offering a full-body workout. Aerial yoga helps to improve flexibility and strength, while also providing a sense of weightlessness and relaxation. Some popular aerial yoga studios in Singapore include Flying Studio and Pure Yoga.

2. Hot Yoga Studios

Hot yoga studios offer classes conducted in a heated room, typically ranging from 35 to 40 degrees Celsius. The high temperature helps to promote detoxification through sweating and increases flexibility by warming up the muscles. Hot yoga also helps to improve cardiovascular fitness and reduces stress. Popular hot yoga studios in Singapore include Absolute Yoga and Bikram Yoga.

3. Outdoor Yoga Classes

Outdoor yoga classes provide an opportunity to practice yoga in natural surroundings, such as parks or gardens. These classes allow participants to connect with nature and experience the benefits of fresh air and sunlight while practicing yoga. Outdoor yoga classes are often organized by yoga studios or individual instructors and are popular in parks such as Fort Canning Park and Singapore Botanic Gardens. Some yoga studios also offer rooftop or beach yoga classes for a unique outdoor experience.
