Torysh, also known as the Valley of Balls, captivates visitors with its otherworldly landscape adorned with thousands of spherical stone formations. Spread across several kilometers, these stone spheres, or nodules, range from 1 to 3 meters in diameter, creating a surreal tableau reminiscent of a giant’s playground.

These remarkable geological features formed over millions of years through a process of mineral deposition and erosion. Originating from the ancient Tethys Ocean, these nodules gradually solidified and took on their spherical shape before being exposed to the surface through natural geological processes.

Accessing Torysh requires a journey of approximately 105 kilometers north from Aktau, followed by a short dirt road drive towards the village of Tauchik. Travelers are rewarded with the sight of these mysterious stone spheres, set against the backdrop of the Kazakh steppe.
